Been having pain for almost two years and I'm stubborn. I won't go in unless I am in serious pain. I went to the walk in clinic to get it checked only to be told nothing is wrong. I know my body and something is wrong I told them. So they made a same day appt with a Dr and as soon as he walked in the door he came in with a condescending attitude towards me and continued to try and tell me nothing was wrong without checking me and just tried to educate me about my own body. This place has been ruined. Maybe by new management or just with people that don't care about the patients concerns. Guess you have to be on deaths door before they actually listen to their patients.

The cafeteria sure needs improvement. I complained about the food not being fully cooked and they just left it as is. There was a time they served some great food. I know for a fact that I'm not the only one has a complaint about the food service.

I call pain management to get my back injection they said they change there policy have to do stretching and physical exercise lol like I don't do that every day living in the bush, well we don't have physical therapy here first of all but what it really is my age quoted medical theory about exercise helps what they did was singling me out because of my age refusing services unless I preform for them elders in living home have to do old people stretching and light duty workouts hahaha I'm not a couch potato living in a living home after I talk to my clinic I'm going to look for a lawyer this isn't first time ANMC having a problem with there pain management i had to go to AA spine because was refused service. After AA spine ANMC had to follow suit and provide services now there back at it again

Best medical care you can get for Alaska Natives and American Indians on the west coast of United States. Has a trauma 1 emergency room. My provider in the rheumatology clinic gives the best care possible.

If I could give them a zero I would. my wife had a critical condition that they misdiagnosed this morning, gave her fentanyl which masked the symptoms, and sent her home. This despite her specifically telling them the issue. 12 hours later she was puking bile. We rushed to the ER again at 330AM, the two women at admitting were having what looked to be a romantic argument and told us to wait a until they were done. I insisted she be screened now, they then stopped arguing and got the triage nurse, who was sound asleep and/or drunk. Are you kidding me? They then insisted that I couldn't stay and help her answer questions during her screening, despite her requests as she was in excruciating pain. These people are criminal, no wonder so many natives are terrified of this place

I recently had to escort my sister into ANC for a surgical procedure. We were placed in patient housing and I am pleased with most everything regarding patient housing and it’s amenities to include food service. There could be food items with less sugar or better options for people who don’t want high sugar items. Otherwise the room is decent, service up front is fast and mostly efficient! I am so happy with the pleasant experience and it’s nice to see our people are treated with respect and cared for these days. Of course the ER is whole different animal but this positive review is in regards to patient housing.
