Dr. Agarwal is ignorant of his own ignorance of MCAS. He might be able to help you if your PCP is unwilling to learn, if you need access to a medication that your insurance only covers when ordered by an allergist/immunologist, or if you need a referral to a real expert only accepting MCAS referrals from other immunologists. If your case is simple, expect to be better served by a curious and cooperative PCP, and if your case is more complex, Agarwal will not know how to help you.

So my appointment was for 230pm. I was in office by 2pm. My EKG and labs were done back to back. I was out front by 231pm. If you help doctors' offices be more sufficient, you will reap the rewards. Also they were very remindful of my appointments via text.

I don’t usually do reviews because I understand how policies work, however when someone is calling in to give you business and get help with their health to be told you need a referral is quite upsetting. I pay good money for my health insurance who does not require a referral for endocrinology, to be told I have to jump through more hoops just to be seen for my diabetes at this location. I have been a diabetic for over 20 years and you need it on paper saying yes she is a diabetic, but due to your new insurance and having to go through a new set of doctors we must have you waste your time to prove our services are needed. I see other people have complained about this policy but it has yet to be changed. We all know getting into the doctor is months out in most areas and now I have to wait for my PCP to give you a document just so I can get help from my endocrinologist to get my supplies. You guys should really be ashamed for having such an outdated policy instead of helping those in need. Then you wonder when clients are seen why they are in such bad shape because they had to wait so long and stretch their resources so thin just to get a piece of paper saying yes they do require your expertise.

They didn’t communicate the doctor required patients to arrive 20 mins before the appointment time and canceled my appointment while I was trying to check in. I arrived 5 mins early.

They wasted my time and refused to see me. The communication with this office has been horrible. I reviewed my messages and there not reference to the time stipulation. It’s sad that a doctor’s ego would impair their want to treat patients.

extremely unprofessional that cardiologist Dr. Hegelwald would require an office visit just to give you test results that equate to "yep, nothing's wrong I guess..." -- no good reason to refuse to do a phone call. Many people who use this clinic do so because they have to living out on the Olympic peninsula, and have to commute for hours. Just because this Doctor wants to juice you for something billable, one has to take a whole day off work to have a conversation that lasts less than five minutes/could've happened over the phone. This is financial predation. Furthermore, he couldn't provide any sort of useful diagnosis.

The Allergy clinic's company policy is that they require a referral from your primary care physician. This policy is first not posted online anywhere on their site and you do not become aware of this until you receive a return phone call from their scheduler. Second, this policy is not in adherence with insurance coverage plans (PPO's) that do not require referrals to specialists. By requiring me to see my primary care provider in order to obtain this referral the clinic will have: delayed the course of my treatment and diagnosis unnecessarily, forced me another costly visit towards my high deductible plan unnecessarily, and further pushed waste within the healthcare system model.

This outdated policy should be retracted as the healthcare's industry standard has moved towards patient responsibility in understanding their insurance plan's needs regarding referral requirements. It is archaic to still have a policy like this in place.

Every single one of these Doctor's Clinics in Silverdale are HORRIBLE at scheduling, not to mention customer service. Made an appointment for the 13th of February for a CT scan, and then got a call a week later from Harrison Hospital that it must be done there and they never gave them any record for the appointment I made. Then, I called this morning to make sure I DIDN'T have an appointment at this building and they confirmed I didn't and that they no longer do CT scans at the Doctor's Clinic. I then just got a call from a woman who asked me if I wanted to set up my appointment for my CT.... Then she asked, "Did you go to your CT appointment on the 19th of January?" Never made an appointment that day. What is going on with your systems Figure it out! This company has let me down time and time before and I'm glad I'm moving away and don't have to deal with it anymore.

Referral is still necessary, even if you have PPO insurance and it’s not required by any other specialty office. I can’t imagine what other hoops they’d make you jump through, but I’m not bothering to find out. Go down the street to the other allergy office (Allergy, Asthma, and Sinus Care Center) and they’ll get you an appointment in just a couple weeks - no referral necessary if your insurance doesn’t require them!
