A physicians assistant diagnosed my broken thumb using an x-ray and proscribed a wrist brace with thumb support while I awaited a specialist. I asked the person fitting the brace if it was something that was expensive and she said something to the effect of "no its just a normal wrist brace with a thumb support." The bill just arrived and the cost for the wrist brace was $350. The only issue is that the wrist brace that costs $42.99 on amazon. I feel like I was mislead. I should have been told to go to DICKS Sporting goods or CVS and get a wrist brace with thumb support. Sadly there is nothing I can do now.

Lets talk about Tracy Weiler, PA-C: Caring, down to earth, great listener coupled with polished bed side manner. Not pretentious. A genuine human being. I've had a lot of health issues in my time & have seen a lot of providers spanning 45 years. This time a stiff neck for 10 days at a 10 pain, and Tracy took the time to explain all options without reservations and created extroidinary options to get me back to a better state.
