Dr. Keane is fantastic. I've worked with a few different physiatrists, and he's the one that I've had the best results with. He took the time to understand my specific situation, he laid out various options in terms of treatments, discussed the pros and cons of each, and helped me put a plan together. Also, he then met with me regularly to make sure things were on track, and adjusted things as needed. He's just been fantastic to work with.

Dr. Keane is one of the most thoughtful and knowledgeable doctors I have seen. He is clear, concise and takes his time to connect and understand your issues. He gave me a spinal blocker which relieved pain almost immediately. His diagnosis of my issues was dead on. He minimized medicine in my shot to allow me to have surgery earlier and avoid additional pain. I highly recommend him and Soar for any back issues.

For over 15 years, Dr. Keane has been my go to sports med ortho/physiatrist. He gave me fantastic counsel thereby avoiding back surgery and he was spot on…even introduced me to the UCSF surgeon who pioneered the surgery suggested by another and the UCSF surgeon gave me superb guidance! I just saw Dr Keane (traveled from Nevada to see him) for a knee issue and he was wonderful once again!

I recently booked an appointment with Dr. Joel Saul for my back. Last year I saw him and I thought my back issues were related to disc problems I have had in the past but he quickly and correctly diagnosed my issue with my SI joint. I got an injection in my SI joint and instantly I felt better., I was pain free for almost a year. Then in the last month I had a couple of episodes with the same symptoms. I booked an appointment but in the time I booked the appointment and saw Dr. Saul, my shoulder pain I assumed would just go away on it’s own had gotten worse. The receptionist told me I might have to make a separate appointment for my shoulder but Dr. Saul was happy to take a look after we discussed my SI joint. I have no doubt his assessment is correct but he did send me for an MRI. I will see him next week but I know one thing. Dr. Saul is a master at diagnosing after just a few tests he performs in his office.
