She listens to me. I will meet with her to discuss my left leg and lower back problems. She makes me feel comfortable and she’s very understanding. She has excellent analytical skills on examining my MRI scan and was able to explain details to me.

She was able to quickly get me an ASL interpreter during our zoom meeting. Thanks to her assisting me.

I did meet with Dr Zhang (I think that was the right name) and she was wonderful. Kind, engaging and we worked together to tease out what my back issues were all about. She spent the time to talk to me and to let me talk to her about what my symptoms were. I hope when I have my SI injection that she is the one who does it because she made me feel so comfortable.

I met Dr. Patricia Zheng in 2023 in a personal consult following a written Second Opinion. At the consult, Dr. Zheng made two referrals to other specialists, one at UCSF Pain Management and another at UCSF Maxillofacial Care. These two specialists got my pain under control with better medication and physical therapy. It was also clear from Dr. Zheng's guidance that I needed the flexibility of a PPO health plan, and a switch was made to a nationally known PPO in April 2024.
In March 2025 I had MRIs of problem areas (neck and right shoulder) performed. Afterwards, my current pain management doctor suggested seeking a consult with an orthopedic group. I chose to request this consult from Dr. Zheng. I knew that UCSF had the resources, and Dr. Zheng, the knowledge of and connections to specific specialists that could benefit me. The clear-thinking, fast- acting Dr. Zheng again provided specialists (neck & shoulder surgeons) to help me better explore my medical options. As in 2023, her advice will, I think, lead to improvement in my medical care.
I am grateful to know Dr. Zheng and to be able to benefit from her gracious help and discerning intelligence.

First met with Dr Zheng a year and a half ago after a bad car accident and was treated for my back injury. Everything was going great until I took a fall and aggravated my back again. Went back recently and was treated exceptionally again. She is really helpful and an advocate for me.
