If I could give zero stars, I would. I had an appointment here to get a prescription, and the pharmacy (CVS) informed me they needed the doctor’s approval to find a substitute. They contacted the doctor, but guess what? No reply. It’s been days, and I guess the doctor is either too busy or just doesn’t care about their patients. Do they think we can survive magically without the medication? This lack of responsiveness is unacceptable and shows a complete disregard for patient care. I understand doctors are busy, but ignoring messages from a pharmacy is negligent and unprofessional

Walnut Creek was my 2nd appt that day after One Medical cancelled my 1st appointment scheduled at 830a at another location 31 miles away from home.
My 1st ever experience that day with One Medical was a negative. A 1-star rating. Overall rating 2- star.

Terrible first experience!!! Last minute information that the Doctor is NOT accepting Medicare patients.. I was already traveling to my 830a appointment. After driving 31miles to appt, the appt was cancelled. Parking fees, drive time, extra gas, mileage, hours off from work, a TOTAL MESS! The receptionist was very nice and apologetic. She eventually found another location closer to where I live, to set a 1030a appt. I initially requested an appt near my zip code location weeks before.
My experience at the new location was better. I would have preferred to meet with a Doctor rather than a NP (nurse practitioner).
Since I had fasted for more than 16+ hours and I will be traveling abroad the following week, I agreed to complete my wellness visit/checkup/appt that day rather than reschedule for another day.
Bottom line, I am blessed that I have worked to stay in great health and have had very minimal interactions with the medical world.
This was a terrible 1st experience with One Medical Group, Medicare, Dr visit, and the medical industry! Now I understand all the stories i here from so many people about the healthcare industry! Sadly, I have the experience!
I am NOT looking forward to the aging process in this so far negative experience.
Amazingly the USA is supposed to have the BEST medical care in the world? PROOF NOT VERIFIED BY THIS EXPERIENCE!
Hopefully positive changes will begin this year.

I'm a one-medical member, and went to sign up my son as a member as well. I called and asked for help, and the rep on the phone said she can't assist me and that I have to do it all online. Doing it online was similarly impossible as it required a first setup a new email account for my 8 year old, and then once setup we never received the confirmation email. I've called asking for help, and they insist it all has to be done online. This has been profoundly frustrating and I recommend others look for a different provider that is easier to work with. I'm in the market for a new provider so let me know if you have suggestions.

Dr Catherine Wang is SUPER! Highly recommend her with OneMedical in Concord. Always attentive, professional and cares so much about the health and wellbeing of her patients. Ease of appointments and follow-up is outstanding.

Had a fantastic remote appt with Tee who works here. He was super knowledgeable about eye issues as I had a swollen eye and also very friendly. Highly recommend!

Appointment started on time (annual physical - pretty basic, lasts 25 minutes). Common shots are available on site (TDAP, Hepatitis A). Dr. Stephanie Hocking was nice and answered all my questions. Front desk staff was helpful and courteous, and we're wearing masks still.

In general, do be aware that One Medical can charge a *lot* for a simple visit, and you may not know about it if your insurance pays for it.

They denied me service on a phone appointment due to having an HMO, which I completely understand. However, after denying me service, they still put a claim in with my HMO and I was still billed $450 for being denied service in the first few minutes of the conversation. Billing department also can't request a "waiver" and I have to wait 30 days to figure out if this bill is going to stand or not.

They haven't made healthcare any less painful...

We have used OM app for several years now and it has consistently come in handy, even while we were traveling in different cities where there was a One Medical available. Service is fast and friendly and all of the doctors are extremely qualified.
