Terrible experience! I strongly advise you to look elsewhere for care. The provider was unprofessional, rude, and seemed to have no regard for his patients. His attitude made it clear that he is not suited for this line of work and should retire. Additionally, the receptionist was equally rude and unhelpful. It's hard to imagine how a customer-facing role is a good fit for her. I highly recommend finding a more respectful and compassionate healthcare provider. Side note: their breath smelt horrible

I got this doctor's number form my insurance company and called to make an appointment The person who answered the phone was unwelcoming and unwilling to support me. It felt like she was not interested in new patients. I would have been okay if she just simply said that they dont want a new patients. I just did not expect such a cold and unwelcoming attitude towards a new patient.

This Doctor is unpleasant. He was short with me, rude, not informative from the start. I made efforts to adjust myself conversationally but his demeanor as well my own general anxiety had me chatting a bit. I mentioned that I didnt kno what the appointment was going to be like & that my primary physician said that if I found the testing to be uncomfortable I can kno that she has also experienced it, which I found comforting and felt like solidarity to me. Dr. Schulman didnt let me finish my sentence before he starting going off about how offensive that is and repeatedly & arrogantly stated his credentials and his "12 years of school" over and over, began defending his whole profession at me as I proceeded to try and tell him that I'm not afraid or worried about the testing and found support in my primary physicians comment. He only stopped after I told him that he can send a msg if he wants but he was making this unpleasant for me. I'll give him the credit of stopping when i told him that & he said "lets start over" and he was able to regain his professionalism so we carried on with the test. The testing its self is fine and I even found it interesting but this mans fragile ego made him forget that *I* was in pain and there to get help and that *I* am the patient. His arrogance and rude behavior was unbelievably childish and unprofessional. Sir, I implore you to get some support for your attitude, perhaps therapy? Due to the common power dynamics of physicians and their patients, I would bet more people than have spoken up to you or left a bad review have had a difficult experience in a situation, as *you* yourself stated, is actually not painful or has any long term effects, thusly should have been a good experience for us both. You have to respect your patients if you expect to be respected.
Edit: also, I had to wait 3 MONTHS for this appointment, had this terrible experience and then this Doctor went out of his way to unnecessarily insult me, he misgendered me and was Classist on the results of the testing. *NOT* LGBTQIA+ friendly.

I found Dr. Schulman to be professional, informative, and helpful. In addition to conducting a thorough EMG, he gave me much-appreciated advice regarding migraine headaches (a separate issue), and even recommended additional reading material for further information on the subject. I had quite the opposite experience in my visit than some of the negative reviews seen here. I found his office to be comfortable and free from the chaos you often find in waiting rooms. His staff was pleasant and professional. The overall experience could have been fraught with anxiety (I suffer from agoraphobia and fear of needles), but instead I felt at ease and comfortable throughout. I would highly recommend.

Strangest experience I've ever had with a doctor. He was extremely rude and snapping at me. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because I tried to turn the experience around and somehow make it pleasant, which for reasons I cannot explain, actually worked. We talked about a variety of subjects throughout the test. That said, I would never go back and would only recommend him to my worst enemy.

Nope. Don't do it!! Very strange angry little man. It's no wonder he keeps the front door locked and you have to knock to get in. Very surprised if he has any repeat customers. The door Should have been my first sign. Has a very large chip on his shoulder. I've never had a doctor say "I'm a MD" in anger before. my thought was well I hope so... act like it. Very bad experience. If I could give a zero I would.

I was hesitant to go to this appointment after reading the negative reviews, but am glad I went. He is great. I had gotten an EMG the week before from a different provider and they did my whole body in half the time he took and did not find half the things he did. It was a long drive to his office for me, but worth it. I am not thin and did not feel shamed as the other posters did. I felt comfortable. He told me things as he went in terminology I could understand and did not freak me out with maybe this or that. It was a great expirence and I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Schulman is professional, knowledgeable, and truly listens to your health concerns. He shows kindness and is nonjudgmental. His staff is amazing and professional.
