Be aware of billing practices! I cancelled my appointment with Well Coast Medical within two full working days as stated in their cancellation policy, yet I received an invoice for a late cancellation. Furthermore, the invoice was for a higher amount than the one stated in their policy, the amount was later corrected without any apologies for the mistake, and they are still trying to charge me for a late fee. It's a shame that one would have to go through this type of experience when seeking mental health care.

Brea Di Dato is great, Well Coast is not. Their UI is extremely dated and unnecessarily cluttered + difficult to use. Communications are so poor that it actually feels predatory. Specifically, they spam you with text and email reminders about your upcoming appointment, but when the actual time of the appointment comes, no reminders, calls, or emails. They make no effort to contact you if you are late, then they charge you $200 if you don't show up. Save yourself some money, steer clear of Well Coast, and opt for a more modern provider.

I used to be a patient with Well Coast but followed a provider that left the practice. They charged me in last month (Oct. 2022) for a service from September 2020 out of the blue with no prior communication in the two years that passed since the date of service (timely filing in California is 12 months). I've called multiple times and emailed to dispute the payment but they will not respond to me. If you want to see a provider that might charge you hundreds of dollars years later with no proof that you owe that money, Well Coast is great for that.

I am deeply disappointed with my experience with Well Coat Medical, and frankly shocked at the overtly punitive, ableist, and inaccessible policies of this practice.

I struggle with executive functioning difficulties, and sought help from this practice in the hope that their ADHD specialty would lend experience to working with these kinds of struggles. But instead of helping, they wasted my time, took my money, and then completely deleted my account when my executive dysfunction flared & prevented me from following up within their arbitrary 30-day timeframe. Not to mention, all this happened after they had failed to follow up with *me* for a good 2 weeks after my intake appointment, where they said they would connect me with a therapist. I had to proactively follow-up only to then be met with this threatening letter (in snail mail, mind you) and the eventual deletion of my account.

As a practice that apparently regularly deals with ADHD and therefore executive functioning problems, I can only conclude that this active hostility is intentional, that their goal is not to help but rather to select for the easiest patients they can wring money out of, and weed out anyone whose struggles are too inconvenient.

Save your time and money and go somewhere else.
