They're doing their best. Phone wait times are long, but if you stay on the line someone WILL get to you — your case WILL be heard. Mine always was. I am deeply grateful to HHS.

I've been on hold for an hour. Each time I call this is the regular time they leave you on hold. Worst agency period. I moved here to Davis in July and had my case from my previous county transferred. It still has not been picked up by Yolo which means I won't be receiving my benefits I guess?. I've called my worker Ramona Torro numerous times over the last 2 weeks and have not received a call back yet. I called a duty worker last week and they assured me my case would be picked up on 11/1. Well the system has no information when I put in my new card info or check the self help system. Ive received ZERO communication from this county. It's really quite sad you can't receive any help. The worker I finally got to spoke to just now says my case notes say they "might" be able to pick up my case on 11/1. It is November 1st. After an HOUR of being on hold I'm being transferred AGAIN. Seriously the worst experience I've ever had. I've lived in far larger counties and have never been given the run around for this long. It's been MONTHS. Something needs to be done. I'm beyond frustrated.

If you're trying to book an appt on line for COVID or boosters DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. You can show up anytime during business hours and they won't review your information beforehand anyways, nor will it matter when you show up as it's first come first serve. If you need accommodations, your wait time will be even longer. I did give them 2 stars because the staff does seem nice and courteous.

Staff was very friendly and at first it seemed like it was going to take along time but instead it went quickly. My girl didn't have any Id or paper word and we thought she wasn't going to get approved until she got one. Instead they had me sign a affidavit to vouch for and she got approved. Totally cool we got approved. Thumbs up to them.

I can’t seem to get a hold of them. The whole Yolo county is a big disappointment to me. I’m going to look for a new area to live in get out of this awful place.
