I am deeply disappointed with the quality of care and communication I’ve received from CODAC, particularly regarding the handling of my medical results. I was told I would receive my results within a week. That deadline came and went without a word. When I followed up, I was informed that my PCP, Maria Nickel, had been out all week and would return the next day. I was assured she would review my results and call me “first thing in the morning.”

That call never came. I reached out again in the afternoon, only to be told that she hadn’t had time to look at my results and that I might hear something next week: “maybe Tuesday or Wednesday.” When I asked if I could at least be provided with the results themselves, I was told no. Despite multiple staff members confirming they could see my results, none were permitted to discuss them with me until Nickel reviewed them, a review that seemed continually deprioritized.

This experience reflects a pattern I’ve unfortunately come to expect from CODAC. The internal communication is disorganized, and the patient communication is inconsistent at best, dismissive at worst. What’s especially upsetting is the clear discrepancy between the urgency I feel as a patient and the casual, almost indifferent attitude of the provider and office staff. This is my life, yet it’s treated like a bureaucratic inconvenience.

This is the second time I’ve experienced this exact scenario with CODAC. It has become clear that timely, transparent, and respectful communication is not a standard here. I will not be returning, and I urge others to consider whether this is the kind of care they want to entrust with their well-being.

I have had the best care from my Dr of 6 1/2 years. He listens, doesn’t judge but encourages me to get past the next difficult step. The staff, the front desk, the pharmacy folks everyone has helped me feel like a regular patient, not a weirdo. Thank you all for your professionalism

I wanted to give my possibly highest remarks to Jerone who does Accupture at Codac on Fort Lowell.
Beyond being completely professional he has been doing Accupture on me for at least 1 yr.
He is awesome. He is one of those professionals who actually asks you what is bothering you, has a great and wonderful bed side matter.
He always relieves my backpack from neck down to my tailbone. Plus not only that he helps me emensuly for my migraine headache and both of my ankles from when I had broken them both last yr and my left foot 3 middle toes. Sometimes the pain is excruciating and with the proper placement of the Accupture needles within 20 minutes and sometimes less my toes and the neuropathy in both feet go away. I can actually bend them and feel the circulation returning into them I can actually move them to full range of motion
He is always spot on
I feel so blessed to have Jerone as my Accupturist I think I had a gaudian angel that set me up with him for his services for Accupture.
It's to bad I can only give 5 stars, because I would give him a 10 out of 10.
Jerone is the real deal and really knows what to do to help you pain and feel better.
Jerone is an asset at Codac and I have never, ever had a bad treatment from him. Where most the time I see him twice a week if he has appointment.
I encourage ANYONE WITH PAIN, OR JUST WANTS TO FEEL BETTER to see him.
Thank you Jerome for helping me out and he is an asset to Codac on Fort Lowell.
Thank you ,
Jamie

My experience with this mental health center has been overwhelmingly negative due to consistent and deeply concerning communication failures. From the start, the process of obtaining services has been riddled with confusion. Appointment scheduling is a nightmare — there’s constant miscommunication between the front desk and clinicians. Virtual appointments were booked only to be told later that the clinician refuses to do virtual sessions.

This level of disorganization is not just inconvenient — it’s harmful. For individuals already struggling with their mental health, these additional stressors only make things worse. It’s deeply troubling that an organization meant to provide support is doing the opposite. The staff clearly needs to reevaluate their policies and procedures to better serve the people who rely on them.

Mental health centers should be safe, supportive, and reliable. Unfortunately, this facility has failed in all those areas. It’s baffling how this place has not yet been reported to the appropriate board or oversight body. I expected help and support — instead, I’m left feeling more frustrated and hopeless than before. -1/10 recommend.

My visit was very productive. I was able to get everything updated and all my needs were met. I had a very positive discussion with Lori who gave me a much better outlook on my situation. Lori is a very knowledgeable and caring professional. I look forward to our next meeting. Thx

Being honest with the challenges you want to overcome will save you a great deal of time to recover. Also, For those that are seeking help on behalf of someone you love, the team at CODAC are informative and can schedule you on the spot. When I speak to any of the employed staff I get the answers to my questions and I'm offered solutions to my concerns. The staff is empowered to take initiative and are competent. It's unfortunate that our generation has suffered so much trauma due to homelessness, unemployment etc but CODAC is available to assist you in recovery or to just get by another day. There is only shame in giving up. Working to realize what you want to become is paramount and I hope my brother Isaiah carries his half of the struggle for a better day. And I hope whomever reads this can also use these services for a better quality of life
