Highly recommend this team. Life changing. Not exaggerating. I wish them well as they help others. I had significant jaw pain, a tongue tie, and what I didn’t know is that I was in the process of developing serious sleep apnea. I now understand how significant it is. I’m in the process of getting my life back. They are root cause oriented and they do the right thing. Grateful.

After being dismissed from one doctor and another because "I didn't look like a typical sleep apnea patient" 2017 became the year that I learned I really needed to become a self advocate for my health. Doctors and therapist assuming I was "Anxious" or "depressed" and I was being shoved off with a bottle of Xanax and a prayer after only a five minute consultation which, if you know anything about SDB, only exasperated the issue btw. I remember my last visit to a doctor where I begged for a sleep study and was told "I think it's Anxiety" and I boldly said "I think you're wrong": a new for me.

I finally got a sleep study approved. Guess what. I had sleep disordered breathing (72 times total SDB disruptions). Waking up gasping wasn't my "anxiety" it was a tangible physiological disorder. Since then I aggressively tried to get treatment (even getting a septoplasty). When nothing helped I would go back complaining of crippling insomnia (I once stayed up for 7 days straight) to the point I had to quit a job because I just couldn't function but was again dismissed and rushed in and out of my doctor's appointment and I was no better than how I came in.

Flash forward to my fist appointment with Be Well Collaborative Care yesterday. They took 3 hours to really explain things and listen to me and 3 HOURS. You have no idea how grateful I am to just have been treated like a human and not a "crazy female" and have someone really take the time to understand and explain why I feel the way I do. I left with an actual action plan that makes me really hopeful for the future. Fingers and toes crossed I beat this thing! Because sleep and breathing is sooooo important!

Just had my 1st consultation. The staff bent over backwards to accommodate my family, was friendly and personal throughout the entire experience. The consultation itself was informative, they took the time to make sure I understood the process and gave good insight into the problem.
