I called to make an appointment with a Sports Medicine physical therapist and a 12 year old could have done better than the person who answered the phone. They were so out of their element that they eventually just hung up on me. I called back and got someone else who was just barely better and could not help me, but at least they didn't hang up on me. Finally, I called my GP's office and asked if they faxed the order for my physical therapy to Dignity Health Medical Group Family and Sports Medicine - Ahwatukee. They said yes, that *they* would call them for me and then call me back. When she called back, she was aghast at how incompetent the person was that she talked to. She ended up saying that this medical center was really for Family Medicine and not really for Sports Medicine. So then my is it called "Dignity Health Medical Group Family and Sports Medicine - Ahwatukee" ?

Also Lab room Catina did great job! She is nice to patient and works highly efficient and gentle, I like her!
But front desk had at least three time open door late! I was be scheduled two times check in at 12:45, but they didn’t open door until 1pm , the third time be scheduled to seeing doctor at 1pm but one person who is front desk wrote schedule card for 12:45pm , but when I got there on time , the door still closed, then wait about 1:05pm, the door still no open, I have to call until they open door, front desk lady just rude said she need lunch time so she locked door. She didn’t help check in, I wait until 1:30pm, then got to see my doctor!

Today I was EXACTLY 10 minutes late to an appointment for severe pain and loss of mobility due to a pinched nerve. The woman at the front desk then got on the phone to speak to the office manager about my late arrival. After eventually denying me my appointment and my subsequent disapproval, the office manager explained that I missed my appoinment as it was already half over. Keeping in mind that I am forced to wait 5-15 minutes in an examination room every time I am there on time, I decided to call Dignity Health's AZ call center number to express my dissatisfaction to corporate. The kind woman I spoke with then informed me that their policy is to see patients who are UP TO 15 minutes late. So in effect, I was ONLY 15 minutes late because the office manager decided to play games and keep me from getting checked in. DO NOT go to this location unless you want to go to a Dr.'s office where the Office Manager runs the place like a snooty sit-down restuarant. No respect or compassion WHATSOEVER.

I have seen Dr. Curtis and Dr. Parks for years and cannot say enough about their level of care and professionalism. However, as I sit in the waiting room this morning for an 8:15 appointment and watch/listen to the front desk person check in patients, I'm sad at her lack of kindness. She's snippy, rude and lacks empathy. Not the way to treat patients first thing in the morning, or any time.

I took my son to get checked due to a couple of degenerative discs and physical therapy. PA Curtis Mewhinney was great! He listened, took his time and ordered and MRI and physical therapy while there onsite. Appointment was available the same week and they worked with my schedule. Thank you!
