Unfortunately the experience for my mom was very poor this time. Her pills were brought to her an hour after she was due and she was in a lot of pain because of this. The food was cold and not tasty. They put a coughing patient in her room and turns out she had Covid. My mother was moved and quarantined for 10 days. No visitors were allowed. When they moved her they left all her belongings in the old room. This was the third time she has been to Bartley Rehab. It has really gone down since the last time. Never again.

My wife just finished 10 days of rehabilitation at Bartley and the staff was extremely professional and compassionate. I was impressed with the physical therapy group that worked with my wife getting her ready to come home. The facility was clean and did their best to make my wife’s stay comfortable. I thought the food was good however my wife is a fussy eater leaning more towards her ethnic foods. Overall our first experience was a good one .

Unfortunately, the environment felt more like a military facility than a compassionate care setting. The patients are treated in a way that makes it seem as though they lack basic rights. For example, showers are scheduled every other day and meal times are rigid, with food quality leaving much to be desired. Despite being a smoke-free facility, it was frustrating to see employees smoking outside while residents like my father, who is a lifelong smoker, were essentially forced to give up their habit. At his age, and with whatever time he has left, I believe he should have the freedom to make his own choices. I used to work at Bartley. The residents used to be able to go out in the court yard to smoke and that’s why I recommended Bartley for my dad. My dad winded up checking himself and moved to a facility in Toms River who hasn’t taken away patients rights and allows them to smoke.
The only positive aspect I can mention is that the facility is clean, which is why I'm giving it 2 stars. Overall, I hope this feedback helps promote change for future residents who deserve a more respectful and accommodating environment.

I'm very pleased with the care my mother received at Bartley. She was there for 1 month and progressed nicely. The facility is very clean and well maintained. The nursing and aid staff were very attentive to her needs. The PT and OT staff did an amazing job with her. She is now home and getting around very well on her own. Thank you, to all!

My stay at Bartley was wonderful! The staff is wonderful and all of the food is excellent. The people are kind and pay attention to my needs. And to top it off the physical therapy program is outstanding I feel so much better and they have totally improved my ability to walk around and manage on my own. I want to thank everyone for the wonderful care and professionalism which I’ve experienced.

I have been in other facilities and can say with confidence that bartley is top notch. Kudos to the kitchen the food here was excellent I enjoyed the meals immensely! I've made a lot more improvements here then the other establishments as the rehab department is amazing. Another big thing for me was that every time I pushed my call bell there was an aide at my side immediately. Overall superb staff on Dogwood and a beautiful clean facility!

My mom was transferred to Bartley from the hospital via private transport company. Having left the hospital she was on oxygen. The facility knew she would be arriving needing oxygen. They did not have a concentrator in her room. When the concentrator arrived, it was broken. Took about 10 minutes to get another one as my mother‘s stats began to decline. The second one finally arrived and it worked. That night my mom needed the nurse only to find out that her call button did not work.
Medicare gives us facility five stars which is beyond my understanding. There is nothing five stars about this facility.

My husband just spent 8 weeks at Bartley nursing and rehabilitation. He received phenomenal care on all levels. From the nurses and aides, dietary and everyone in the physical therapy department. All my husband’s needs were met on a daily basis. Physical and occupational therapy worked with him daily to help him walk again after surgery to repair a broken femur.
I highly recommend the Bartley Nursing and Rehabilitation facility! 100% excellence in care!!!
