As several others have mentioned, MedImpact provides horrible service. I've now had to make 8 phone calls to them regarding a prior authorization. Unlike other administrators, they do not accept faxed prior auth requests...it must be called in by phone. By phone? is this 2023 or 1953? My doctors office has supplied MedImpact with everything they have requested only to have MedImpact state that they now need for the doctor to call them AGAIN. The unfortunate thing is that this company is contracted with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Arizona and members have no other choice.

They will play with your health! They keep transferring my specialty prescription from place to place, then blame my doctors office for not getting back with the "pharmacist" who wants to "verify" the prescription. It's pretty standard and straightforward so maybe you people should stop playing with my health!!

I am a state of AZ employee; recently the state has a change in health insurance and pharmacy plan. Bad choice of using medimpact, which contract with Kroger specialty pharmacy for specialty (I guess more expensive) med. my situation is with a brand vs generic drug that I have been taking for a long time. The doctor has also submitted authorization of prescribing the brand drug, but medimpact denied it. It is unacceptable (and shameful) that these insurance providers put their profits ahead of patient health and life.

My communication with Kroger specialty pharmacy was also horrible. They are supposed to reach out to my doctor’s office and the insurance to coordinate everything. I ended up running out of my drugs because of their slow/no response. They also do not seem to have a physical stores. Everything is done through phone; and their phones do not go through. It is unbelievable in today’s environment that they do not have a website to automate the process.

I have to say Medimpact likes to punish the consumer. I had a script that I extended 2 months instead of over using it. When I weng to fill a new script they said I could only get a five day supply even though I only missedmy normal fill 1 time. But, because it wasnt filled in 60 days but 62 day a whole 2 days late they felt the need to punish me by first saying I needed a prior authorization which apparently wasn't needed even though they asked for one and recieved it then to turn around and say oh you didn't need that your plan will only allow you so many now since you didn't fill the script in the time frame we require. I didn't know either or I would have gotten it sooner.

I wouldn't recomend this place for perscription health. They would rather you suffer than do the right thing.

This is a terrible mail order service. Everyone on the phone seems pleasant enough but can't help. Frequently transferred and then disconnected and even though they have previously asked for your phone number, you are not called back. No chat available and no way to make a complaint. My employer changed over to them this year and its a sorry mess.

I’m so done. I can’t get any prescriptions filled . Everything needs a PA . My doctor is over it and probably won’t see me anymore.

Absolutely horrible customer service. I would expect a company whose business relies on customers to have a good customer service system in place. When you feel like your having a human to robot experience when speaking with any customer service rep. The worst experience I have ever encountered in my lifetime.

Absolutely awful to work with. No concept of insurance and no concept of how to prescribe or support the patient. Just a processing machine. Totally awful, stick to your CVS.
