Were it not for the technician I met with, Brandon, I would rate this company a 0 or 1 at best.
Scheduling is done from headquarters in California, there is no local office staff. There is no way to call directly to this provider.
My doctor submitted a referral to SleepMed, with 'Stat' in the comments. After a week, not hearing from SleepMed, I called the number on the referral and was directed to Diedre (sp ?). Yes, they had my referral, we can schedule you for the inhome study on Dec. 17th at 10:30am to pick up the equipment. I took that appointment.
That was on Dec. 7. On Dec. 11th, I get a call from a SleepMed appointment scheduler to schedule my test, the one I already scheduled.
When I told this scheduler that I already had an appointment, she told me that my appointment was not on her system at 10:30am, but she could make one for 8:00pm on the same day. I explained that I am not doing an in-office overnight study, I am doing a in-home study. This woman could not understand English any better than I understand whatever foreign language she had.
This nightmare continued, regardless of what I said. She was determined to schedule me for the test I was not going to take.
Prior to driving one hour to the office to pick up the equipment, we tried several times to confirm that the 10:30am appointment was on their system, never heard from any of the voicemails we were transferred to, until 9:00am, when the technician called to see if we had any questions before coming to pick up the equipment.
To top off an already terrible performance, the scheduler called on Dec. 18th to tell me I missed the 8:00pm appointment she scheduled and what would be a convenient night to come in for the overnight study. This was a call, made to me, the day after I already picked up the in-home study equipment, did the test, then returned the equipment.
I am sure this is not over. This company will now want to bill me for an appointment I did not make, but one they say I did not show up for.
Guess I may as well call my lawyer now and get a headstart. What a failure.

Seemed very nice and really on the ball upon initial contact. One week later called to check status and was told it was in processing with insurance. Called my insurance and was told they had never been contacted by this place. Called to see what was going on was told conflicting things. Finally was told they are "backed up." Which was in direct contradiction of earlier claims of being able to fill my order quickly. I went back to my original provider and they set me an appointment in two days to get equipment. Very misleading and slow. I can not recommend them to anyone.

I have given 1 star because I did get CPAP (though they have not called as they said they would for the monthly supply order) and the CPAP is working.
I specifically called and asked IF I need oxygen in the future, would they be able to handle that for me bc I did not want to get CPAP one place and then have to find another place for oxygen.
Well, turns out that after doing a lot of research and looking at Manufacturers and Models on the Medicare site, it showed that the 2 models I wanted were indeed provided by Sleepmed. When I showed up for my appointment, there were 2 different models in boxes that they had "sitting in the closet" and there were no choices/options. I have taken this through the initial person on the phone setting up the appointment, to the Respiratory Therapist to a "complaint" person to the "Manager" yesterday who basically said, "tough". You can have what I have & do you know how much it costs to keep those in inventory?

I told her that I needed to do what was right for ME and not for HER company. Worst service, no customer service, arrogant, and act like you are bothering them. This place has now caused me to have a CPAP from one place and have to do exactly what I spent time trying to avoid prior to getting the CPAP.

They lie.

Not great customer service. Doors were locked for 15 min after appointment start time. Couldn’t figure out login and computer issues, those that seem could have been corrected prior. It is now a hour after appointment and I sit here still waiting for a measly print out. On my one day off. Maybe call ahead and make sure they have their computer figured out

First they cancel on me in June. A change in my work schedule and now I’m told that they only have one technician and can’t get in now till end of September. They wanted me to pay before my study so now I’m stuck. Can’t afford to go somewhere else and pay all over again.

Horrible customer service as they bill for supplies but never ship the supplies...multiple calls and emails with no results.
