Tried to get a refill for over a month. Easy task. Left dozens of voicemails throughout. Issue is still not resolved. Impossible to get a hold of. Not even sure if JoEllen is still running this practice at this point.

If you have an OB crisis, concern or just need an annual exam, STAY CLEAR OF THIS “facility” and I use that term loosely. My daughter found a lump in her breast and she found this place to have availability… 1st available isn’t alway better. Appointment time was 9am. We arrived at 8:30. We were told there was one in front of us.. okay… after sitting in a waiting room that was beyond freezing( see picture below of what is offered for patient comfort) At 9:20 I finally decide to ask if there was Intake paperwork she needed to complete to which they replied,”we sent a link.” No such link was found, so we asked to fill out hard copies. No hard copies because this OBGYN doesn’t have a printer.. my daughter had to physically ask to verify the email address on file to ensure the “practitioner” had a medical history. We were then taken back 40 minutes after the appointment time. The “ practitioner” entered the room did not know my daughters name, failed to introduce herself. I finally had to ask what her credentials were…. This was a good lesson for my daughter on how not pick medical care providers and what the red flags are. I’m also concern that only NP’s are staffed.

I agree with the other recent reviews that Embry Women's Health has sadly gone downhill. I used to really enjoy the care I received here and my patient experience, but for the past year it is incredibly difficult to get anyone on the phone, you can't make an appointment online if you're an existing patient, and now they no longer accept patient insurance. And, they really push med-spa services onto their patients. It is really frustrating to receive multiple emails advertising their med-spa services while simultaneously struggling get in contact with anyone at their office to schedule a well women's exam. I am so disappointed to say it is clear that this company is now far more interested in making money than they are in caring for their patients.

I would not recommend Embry Women's Health to my worst enemy. This is some of the worst customer service I have received in women's health. From the second I scheduled my appointment, I had issues. The day before my appointment I received a new address in a random email stating they had moved. I arrived at this new location and it was a medical spa with boxes EVERYWHERE and no rhyme or reason. I took a seat on a couch and proceeded to wait 45 mins to see the provider who showed up at 9:30AM for my 9AM appointment and loudly told the girl at the front desk she didn't want to be there. I was then asked all of the questions I had pre filled out on the form twice AGAIN during the meeting with the provider and the entire experience took almost 2 hours. I went in for a routine checkup and it took them almost 3 weeks to receive the results of that test and they proceeded to call me and tell me that I needed to speak with the provider but did not give a time the provider was available for another couple weeks. The reason for my visit was to get an IUD replaced and now after 3 months from that initial visit, still no schedule and I had to switch providers. They lost a urine sample twice and made me come back multiple times and each time I arrived, every single person looked shocked I was there for something other than botox or liposuction and had no sense of urgency to actually provide me care. This provider, Eva Burch, is only in office on Fridays which is wildly inefficient to provide any type of long term care. I STRONGLY recommend you save yourself the energy of having to advocate for yourself every step of the way and find a provider who will have more availability in appointments, only specialize in women's health, and actually care about your wellbeing and providing the care you deserve as a woman in a timely fashion.

It's crazy how much I've learned over the years that I was wrongfully treated here when I had a iud placed. Writing a review YEARS later to hopefully prevent 1 someone going though what I went though and 2 hoping this place never gets to treat another woman like that again. Not surprising to see all the bad reviews... this place is a joke. Womens Healthcare is clearly not their priority.

I’ve been seeing JoEllen for over ten years now and this office used to be the best around. My mother used to see her and swore by her as well. Since the office expanded, everything has changed and it’s incredibly disheartening. I haven’t been able to even get through to the front desk over the phone for days now to schedule my well woman exam and IUD replacement. I also just saw that JoEllen is no longer accepting insurance, which means I can no longer see her even though she’s been the only one I trust with my care for a long time. I am incredibly disappointed as well with all of these cosmetic fad services that they offer now. It seems like this office doesn’t really care about patients anymore only cares about making money. I severely dislike what has happened to this practice.

Filed a complaint against JoEllen Embry to the Board of Nursing in 2020. This was after her son deleted my patient portal due to a valid complaint. Very unethical! Now 3 years later JoEllen continues on with an unethical relationship with her sons “cosmetic business” And shared my email with him so now he’s contacting me trying to gain a customer after all the poor treatment I received. This includes never making me aware of abnormal PAP results. Just collected the money, performed the test, and thought it was okay to ignore abnormal results. Awful! SO inappropriate after all the trauma this caused which resulted in you having to go in front of the BON and being fined and put on probation, and you turn around and continue to practice with a complete lack of ethics.

I don't even know where to start with this review because that is how bad this place is...this facility should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. There is no urgency, care or any sort of ambition to get anything done here. I've been waiting to get a Nexplanon replacement since April 2023 and it is now July 2023. I have been incredibly patient with them throughout this entire process, but I am tired of waiting. They've lost 3 Nexplanon devices so far that they have ordered and each time never reached out to me or made any attempt to call me and update me. I have had to be the one to call in every single day reminding them to do their job. If I didn't call into this place, they would have 100% forgotten I was a patient waiting on a replacement from them with an expired Nexplanon in my arm that I got from THIS facility years ago. I'm not exaggerating when I say I have had to call into this place every single day for months to get an update because no one has made any attempt to take the initiative themselves here. I basically work here now and should be given a salary with all the effort I have put into this place. The only reason I have stuck with this place is because my insurance is fully covered here for this procedure and to be honest I do think the doctors do a good job. At this point, I am at a loss of words on what to do because I have never had such a horrid experience with a place before. I've called their office five times today and no one ever picks up (this is a normal experience - you have to call multiple times a day to reach someone).

The only plus is the doctors at this location are fine, I've never had any issue with the doctors themselves. However, good luck getting to the stage where you actually get to meet the doctor and get what you need checked out! This place doesn't even deserve 1 star with the service they offer.

If this headache of a facility does actually read this, please have a MANAGER call me because I am so sick of having to call you every single day to just get nothing done. I've called you 5 times today on 7/7/2023 and no one is picking up.

Update: 7/12/23 - This facility has still not tried to contact me or even make any attempt to fix this. I’ve emailed them as well and they DO NOT RESPOND. I see that they responded to someone else who commented a 2 star review 2 days ago and have ignored my review because they’re incapable of fixing their mistakes. Will never go back to this place and have chosen to proceed with another reputable women’s clinic that has already resolved what I need done.

Update 9/20/23 - This joke of an office sent me a bill for $107.92 for a service they were unable to provide and complete. It took them over 4-5 months to resolve a Nexplanon replacement and by then I chose another doctor who was capable of getting it done within less than a week. Now this FRAUDULENT company Embry is charging me for a service they never completed.
