I was suffering edema and holding 10-15 lbs of water weight so I was relieved to hear they’d get me right in as a walk in. So I arrive and the woman tries to turn me away! I fought back bc I’d got a babysitter and drove there and really needed seen. I couldn’t believe it! All I got was a prescription instead of why I was like that.
I liked Dr Whitney though so I go in again because I’ve been really sick for a long time and requested blood work and answers. They said to fast and we’d do blood work at my next appointment. Next appt was 3 months later they changed the appt, I accepted but when they called to confirm I asked what I needed to do to be ready for bloodwork. She said they weren’t doing bloodwork, I said I had no reason to come then. I waited all day to hear from the nurse and never received a call back.
I went to a new doctor and didn’t receive a prescription to just treat symptoms, I got actual care for my first visit bloodwork, ekg, stomach ultrasound, thyroid ultrasound, and it’s the beginning of answers! I didn’t have to fast. New doc believes I have at least one autoimmune disease and so do i.
Dr. Whitney seemed to be genuine and like he cares but I know for a fact now that he could’ve done more for me instead of sending me to a different doctor. I blame the lack of communication with his staff more than I do him. Maybe I should’ve requested more too. But I don’t know what I need which is why we come to the doctor.
We’re all tired of doctors throwing pills around and treating symptoms instead of getting to the root cause of the symptoms.

I went through three different doctors before I was told about Southeast Health Westgate Clinic Dr. Ward is my doctor, and she is the best. She is very patient, understanding, and caring. This lump formed 3 weeks ago after being bitten by an insect. I went to PrimeCare ($20) copay. I was told to put rice in a sock and warm it up in the microwave and continuously put it on my arm and I was given an antibiotic named Doxycycline. Arm worsened. Five days later I went to Flowers Hospital Emergency room ($150) copay. I was told to use a wet hot rag on lump and given a prescription for Sulfamethoxazole-tmp ds. Lump still worsened. Two days later, Wednesday 8/28/24, I called PrimeCare to make them aware of my worsening condition. I was told to come in on Tuesday 9/3/24! I hung up and called SE Health. I was told to come to Westgate Clinic on Thursday, 8/29/24. The doctor felt my arm and I am scheduled for surgery on 9/3/24! I will forever be a patient of SE Health!!

I've been coming to this clinic for over ten years. My Doctor and his nurse are always kind and professional. Ms. Rhonda takes her job seriously and provides me with the best care and support. I can't say enough positive comments about my doctor. He gives me straight forward advice and listens to every concern I have. I'm confident with the care I receive. I tell anyone I know looking for a doctor about Carlton Baldwin. He's never given me a diagnosis that I felt like I needed another opinion. I completely trust him and Ms. Rhonda!
