Abbott has been a terrible experience for our family. They hire and send aides who do not speak English. Holidays? They do not have coverage and leave their bed-bound customers lying in their feces for 12 hours. Unprofessional. Do not communicate with customers and family members. Do not pay their aides the proper salary based on the needs of the customer but still bill Old Colony at a higher rate for the special needs of the customer. This has been a nightmare. Find another agency and also vet them carefully before letting them care for your loved ones.

I've been using Abbott Care for the last year to help me with care for my father. I have a care taker through Abbott that visits my dad once per week to do laundry, clean his apartment, pick up his groceries, and any other things of that nature. Both my father and I have been very pleased with the service - no complaints at all! And the office staff at Abbott is exceptional - always picking up the phone, always checking in - great customer service.

Abbott took care of my father in his home for ~2 years. He was unable to live on his own and Abbott stepped in with 16-24 hour care. My dad always loved everyone at Abbott and had nothing but fantastic things to say for everyone who came over to the house. He adored his staff and loved talking to them and about them. Their service and companionship was such a blessing to him, allowing him to stay in the home he loved and be cared for even when his family could not be around. We are so grateful for that. Mark Grossman was extremely responsive and informative: he (almost) answered all my questions before I asked them. He then worked with me to facilitate a seamless transition from our prior agency. I am happy to share that our aide of Day One is not only well-trained; hardworking; and dependable - she is a blessing. This journey we are on is not an easy one, but she - and others of Abbott's aides - have made it one that we are not taking alone. I applaud Kristen, who does the scheduling.
