Having the honor to care for seniors in our area is complemented by working for Abcor Home Health. I have worked here for several years now and have found that Abcor shows an empathetic nature towards those seniors/clients in our community. This combined with the specialized support they provide me personally. Quarterly training is available to ensure that the key educational skills are always up-to-date. Also, those I personally work with Rudy/Sarah/Dolores go above and beyond to support me in my role and are always available! This includes all staff that I have encountered at Abcor. They all provide a helpful and supportive attitude! I highly recommend Abcor Home Health to anyone caring for our seniors in Illinois.

DO NOT WORK HERE!!!

This place constantly lies to its employees and clients. I was hired a year and a half ago to be my Mom's live-in caregiver. They promised from day one that there would be another caregiver in place if I ever need a sick day or take my PTO. They have NEVER sent anyone over to meet my Mom so she can approve of them, due to personal reasons, Mom doesn't want a male at all or a female that can hardly speak English like just about everyone in the office.

They tell me today when I requested off for New Year's, that they'll send whomever the hell they want. They'd need a key to the house, and learn the way Mom needs things done. No one has ever been to the house besides the supervisors who are not caregivers.

Isn't it illegal not to give someone a day off? I'm so burned out, but they don't care, all they care about is making money. I once got a email from them which I think was an oops, they're making twice as money than I am when I'm the one taking care of Mom.

I have been with this company for over 4 years now and I have never really had any issues with them. If I wasn’t comfortable with a client they made sure I was able to pick another client who hours work with mine. I don’t like the new clock in and out system but what can we do about it other than that I like working for this location.
