My mother was in hospice at home and Accent Care, of El Centro California, took care of her, until she passed away early January 2022. I'm finally able to write a review for this company, due to my personal emotional state. Here it is.
Accent Care took great care of my mother. The nurses were wonderful, caring, sympathetic and loving human beings. Beginning with the aide who showered my mom, Elizabeth, or as my mom lovingly called her, Chavela. She was so sweet, compassionate and patient, as mom would remind her of her bath ritual. Of course, Elizabeth knew exactly how to do it but allowed my mom that dignity and she was so gentle with her.
Mom's nurses; Sylvia Lillian and Mercy, nurses with many years working in hospice, treated my mother with the utmost respect, dignity, compassion and love. My mom loved them both, Sylvia (la huera bonita) and Mercy, with whom she made a spiritual connection with. They provided fluid treatment plans as my mom's condition changed, with the guidance of Dr. Guerrero. They always took their time with mom, never rushed and sometimes would be with her for up to 2 hours. Always answered our questions and responded to our concerns.
And Mario, "the boss," he was a little rough around the edges but always willing to listen to you and would make house calls when they were short staffed. He was very direct and honest and though some might not like his approach, I appreciated it because I wanted honestly. Honesty helps to find the best solutions to problems.
Luis Pitones provided administrative support in supplies and paperwork filled out.. He was always very sweet, compassionate and responsive.
In the end, Accent Care worked around the clock in order to care for my mom. Hospice work is not for the faint of heart and a difficult environment. Death is always walking alongside each of them, as they go from patient to patient. As short staffed as they are sometimes, they go out of their way to ensure that their patients are attended to with dignity, compassion and respect. And many times, they even grow to love their patients.
There are no words to describe my gratitude for giving my mom the best care, until she passed away.. thank you

Hello excuse my writing typing I'm a disabled person living in the imperial valley. I'm currently came back from san diego after a life threatening situation I went through concerning my health . AccentCare went to San Diego to the subacute where I was staying and they offerd me things like home therapy to try and help me get back up to my normal self again and my concern is why offer a program thats not going to actually help out to the level that will actually benefit me . I have high hopes of walking again🚢 but...........I have to keep trying and trying to get a hold of them is nearly impossible thats why I gave it 2 stars ... There are some nice staff though.

I am pleased overall with the care i got from Accent Care. The therapists-especially Dr. Guru, Kim Philips, Robert Blaisdell, Emiliano Chavez and Alfredo Guerrero are outstanding.

I called them on 6/28/2020 to get info because my 89 yr old mother fell and was in the hospital . I wanted to know what service they provided. I put my contact info and the website said someone would notify me within 24 hours. It's the evening off 6/30 and no one has bothered to call or email me. Too bad the Imperial Valley has not much help for the elderly. Pretty scary.
