I had a wonderful experience with Copeland Medical Center! They were so helpful and willing to go above and beyond. I had a really bad ear ache which turned into an ear infection, and they got me in the same day! I arrived, was seen, got medications, and was walking out the doors within 15 minutes! Customer service is top notch and I wish I could give them 100 gold stars.

Made an appointment a month in advance, as my primary care provider of 25 years, in another county [Pasco] retired. Filed out the Questionnaire and Medical History. Appeared at the appointment 15 minutes in advance only to find out I was not being "treated" or seen by a Medical Doctor . Instead somehow in their wisdom they saw fit that I be seen by a Nurse Practitioner, who made a host of promises including refilling my prescriptions/continuity of Care. Knowing full well of medications I've been on for some 20+ years she explained she could only issue 30 days at a time and two refills which I could live with {whereas my prior doctor wrote 50 days and three refills}. When asked directly about writing the necessary a letter should I be summoned for Jury Duty she stated she had no problem with that or so she, said as I live with PTSD and anxiety as a Service Connected Veteran. Needless to say after nearly running of the last of my anxiety medications 52 days later, and the refills issued by that former Primary Care Provider [not something anyone should have to detox or withdraw from when it was and is ethically prescribed for twenty plus years], I\we are experiencing difficulties as now they "have a doctor". From the front door inward this institution is woefully staffed, and I am not alone in this finding as the person who told me about this clinic, less then 5 miles from my residence, said to me "they have to may people in and out so you never know what/who you're going to get". Luckily they treat those with dementia and the elderly and the others in "Gods waiting room" because the rest of us see clearly enough to understand what is going on here is less then ethical. I forgot to mention I was referred for an Inguinal Hernia Surgery repair, two months ago by that Nurse Practitioner and to this day I never was told what the response was by Madison Hospital and the Surgery Department only that "they're not doing that"... Sad when this is the best that can be done...I am looking again but might have to file a Medical Complaint because they are shirking their duty and responsibility to the Continuity of Care that I sought when I first appeared there 5 months ago and first introduced myself. SAD SAD SAD I would never recommend anyone that isn't already in "Gods waiting room" seek care there.

Advent Christian Village pays the lowest salary possible. A director stated “people work here as a calling, not for money”. In-turn inexperience medical staff, high turn over rate. Since medical insurance(s) pay about the same for each procedure, and nursing home function, independent of faculty, wonder why the low end of the pay scale. I know, less patients and more time with each visit, well anything is possible.
