My experience at Advanced Diagnostic Group has been nothing less than EXCELLENT. I got a quick appointment, the staff was helpful and professional from the front desk to the technician conducting the scan. Their billing was correct and they charged exactly how they were supposed to as a Diagnostic Center based on my insurance carrier. I had been a loyal customer to Radiology Imaging Associates for years, and recently they started charging as a "hospital" with a deductible. Even after speaking with my insurance carrier they refused to correct their billing. If you are searching for an excellent Diagnostic Center for your MRI or CT scan use Advanced Diagnostic Group (Akumen), you will not have regrets. They were very helpful from the appointment setting to the results. They gave me a disk and the results (reports/imaging) was accessible via their easy to use portal. Great EXPERIENCE.

I have used Advanced Diagnostics for years and they have always been wonderful. This last visit it took me weeks to get someone to call me back after repeated phone calls, voice messages, online requests, and finally submitting a request to Corporate. The only pleasant part about this past experience was the CT Scan tech who was very helpful and sweet.

On the plus side, Mike is an EXCELLENT MRI technician and makes the whole process easy for patients, otherwise this review would be zero stars. And as far as I know, the scan quality is fine. On the down side, there is ALWAYS some issue with this location, whether it's with getting reports, the CD burner not working, with billing, etc. This time around, it's been a FULL WEEK since my MRI and I still have no report because "the radiologist hasn't read it yet." Seven days (and counting) is a very long time when you have a situation requiring a certain amount of urgency. It is not easy to reach a live person on the phone here, and when you do, they tell you they're sorry and that you'll "definitely" have the report "today" or "maybe tomorrow." Good luck -

Update 3/18/2025 - and here comes Advanced Diagnostic Group trying to balance bill me for an MRI from SEPTEMBER 2023, a year and a half after that scan was completed (and paid for). Keep your receipts, you might need them a few years down the road.

Everyone was very professional and friendly, and attempted to make sure I was comfortable. It was very cold inside, which I'm sure was necessary to keep the machine functioning, but Mike, the technician, did provide a blanket for me, and headphones to dull the cacophony from the MRI. I am grateful for the excellent care provided for me.

These folks did a great job! I needed an x-ray, then Cat scans. They got me in quickly, they were very friendly and professional, and the turnaround quick. I did bring a copy of my script with me which expedited the process. I’m very appreciative to have them in our community.
