Avoid at all costs. This place is a joke. The most unprofessional medical clinic I have ever encountered. I called for an appt - was told it was a 6 week wait to see the doctor simply to get a referral. Decided to make the appts anyways despite the ridiculous wait time, on the day of my appt, I arrive 15 min prior to my appt time - and end up waiting a full hour to be seen by doc Monens.
The intake staff acknowledged the long wait time once, saying the Dr. spent all day trying to catch up. You’d think if the doc is running more than an hour late the front desk would call the patients to let them know. When Dr. Monens FINALLY saw me she never acknowledged that she had kept a me waiting for more than an hour and in addition to that she offered zero treatment options. AVOID.

This use to be a great place to go and get great customer service and staff was helpful. I went in for imaging and the person that was at window was rude!! It use to be you can walk in and get things done. Apparently things have changed. I have no problem with that. She repeated herself twice saying that I need to call 800 # and schedule appointment. I heard her the first time however I wanted to ask another question and she went for 3rd time of repeating policy. I said I heard you the first time and she acted if I had attitude, when in Fact it was her! Whatever happen to Customer Service and being polite and helpful. I would never recommend this place again. Very unfortunate

To bad we have to give at least 1 star! I get UTI's commonly and go septic. I asked the Dr to check my urine because I was pretty sure I had one. She hit her hands down on the table and said when you talk to much to the Dr the Dr quits listening and walked out of the room. I left and went straight to Camarena urgent care and tested positive. The Dr was shocked when I said I had just asked my own Dr to check. Also I went through hell to get my inhaler refilled, it took like a month of continuously calling the call center and them getting the messages wrong . I hate dealing with the call center, why can't you call your DR office?

The staff and physicians are professional and courteous at all times. In spite of the deluge in phone calls and wait times they respond in a professional manner and they are helpful and always try to support as needed. This is a busy office but the care is stellar. Never had a negative experience! Excellent staff and wonderful physicians and nurses.

Dr Schaffner and his team are very professional and helpful. I have been coming to this fine institution for over 15 years and have been always cared for in a personal way the team here is kind and very helpful. Dr Schaffner is the anchor in my medical care without him I would be lost.

The doctors, nurses, and staff here are all wonderful! I was nervous, being a gender-diverse person in Oakhurst and a first-time patient here, but everyone was super nice, supportive, and very welcoming. I arrived to my appointment on time and there was practically no wait time and I received exactly the care I needed. The reason for the bad reviews, I think, is mainly due to the call center that gatekeeps the phone calls for Adventist Health. The call center’s average wait time is indeed 30-60 minutes, so by the time they transfer your call to the Oakhurst branch, the staff at the local office are already at lunch or even gone for the day, which can be frustrating. There also seems to be a shortage of medical professionals, because I had to wait 5 weeks to be seen by a doctor. But I just wanted to establish care with a caring PCP, get a referral, and renew pre-existing prescriptions, all of which I was able to do. Dr. Helen Monnens and her team were incredible, so the 5-week wait was definitely worth it and I’ll be coming back for sure!

I’ve been calling for 2 straight days for a simple med refill. Over 6 calls & messages and nobody called me back. They left me out in the cold on a Friday with a kidney stone. Now I’ll have to spend $2,000 to go to the ER over the weekend. This place is an ABSOLUTE JOKE. Don’t waste your time, your money and your sanity. These are people who cloak themselves under the pretext of “God” but don’t care about their patients (or as they refer to you, their “customers”.) Maybe they don’t make as much money on medication refills. Perhaps that’s why all my calls were ignored. Thanks Kevin! What a guy… If you value your health, go somewhere else. If you love being in pain, making tons of phone calls, spending endless hours on hold and hemorrhaging your hard earned money while getting nothing in return, well then keep your appointment with these clowns. Thanks for nothing. I’ll pray for all of you

Terrible all around - 1 Star - after 4 months going to this place they drive you crazy.

They are severely understaffed and schedule your appointments about every month and that’s if you get ahold of the office over the phone they put you on hold forever say they will call back only to not do it or say they will reschedule only to not do it.

Also they lose reports from outpatient services or they simply do not put them in your chart online and when asked to see the reports nobody responds to messages.

If your thinking about going here STAY AWAY and you will avoid a huge headache.
