Was asked what type of insurance my brother had for a shower gurney / trolley wedge and a alternating air pressure mattresse. We were informed by their sales rep Tony that they took his Medicare and MassHealth for insurance & per the physical therapist clearly noted today He didn't understand why they said today 40 plus days Later that they didn't take his insurance. I contacted them yesterday October 23rd and I left a message with Paul to have Tony contact me. Paul stated that they didn't have any orders done and he said that he runs behind and entering orders I said it's been well over a month He said yes sometimes they take that long. This morning I called back and asked for Tony and got Paul back on the phone who evidently is the supervisor of that particular department and he informed me that 'they do not take Medicare and or MassHealth' and they do not reach out to the clients to tell them that they don't. I'm not understanding what kind of business this is when it what it supposed to be dealing with durable medical equipment for our most vulnerable and disabled people people who have that type of attitude is extremely heartbreaking .
I asked him for his CEO's name and phone number and he refused to give me his name so I did my own research and I found out who it is.
I have sent a letter to shame on this company they should not be in the medical supply field when the physical therapist at baystate wheelchair clinic states they do take Medicare and MassHealth and also their own sales rep Tony stated on the day of the appointment and beginning of September oh we take that insurance shame on this company Read the reviews stay far clear away from them they should not be in the business of medical supplies for disabled people elderly etc.

We rented a power lift chair on 1/24/24. This is the second one we rented from them. The procedure was cancelled the same day, so the chair was not needed. I called Agawam Medical immediately to cancel the chair. I actually offered to pay for a week. They said NO REFUND because the chair was already set up. Huh Again, I understand which is why I offered to pay for a week. Response? NO REFUND
Great business practice. And I have a small business in town. Spread the word. Use RENT A Center!!! Same price. I was just trying to keep the business local.

I went to Agawam Medical Supply with a prescription from the ortho team at Baystate and excellent medical insurance to get a walker for my wife.

The staff at the desk was nice and tried to be helpful, but getting a walker just couldn't happen. Apparently. First a bit of insurance confusion, but we worked through that together. Then, they didn't like how the Ortho doctor had written the prescription. Really critical of the MD. They called someone on the phone who said "no chance" on the walker. The people at the desk then expressed frustration at the person on the phone to me, saying "You're not the only one. We have to do this all the time."

I don't know. This trip was a waste of time. Go somewhere else if you can. Maybe find a place that wants to help people and will fill prescriptions.

I still need to get my wife a walker.

I have extensive burns on both legs. They have been swaddled and gauze, bandaging around each one. I tried to sleep in tonight. All the bandages and dressings were bunched up because the cost did not stay in place. I called Agawam medical supply. They said they had calls in various things for wound dressing. by the time I got there, I believe it was Amy, had some stockinette material that is sold by the yard. She showed it to me. They had it in cotton knit and compression. The compression would hurt my leg so I took the cotton. The material sold by the yard under three dollars. The stucco nights have done the job my gauze wrap always stays in place and my wound dressing is always where it needs to be. I went to the trauma clinic for a check up and the doctor told me I’ve seen so many things or people try to keep their gloves on, but I’ve never seen this. I told him it was courtesy of Agawam medical supply. I could not recommend them more highly. What a creative solution to my terrible problem.
