Exceptional service each and every time. I would recommend this office to anyone. Dr. Schubert is one of the very few doctors left in the world who are passionate about their work. You can tell it’s more than a payday. He listens, offers great advice, follows up, and is polite & professional. I wish I had found this doctor sooner. All the staff are amazing and are always in a great mood. There’s no better feeling than being welcomed each and every time. Nurse Errigo is very warm and welcoming. Thank you to everyone at Alpenglow! ☺️

Dr. Schubert is amazing as are the other providers but Dr. Schubert is the one I will come back to again and again. In my first pregnancy I had a couple complications throughout from a hemorrhage to baby moving into a weird position which was causing a lot of pain to preterm labor to delivery they were there every step of the way. Got me in when I needed to be seen immediately and would roll over care to someone else if Dr. Schubert was not available. I would trust any one of these providers but Dr. Schubert is the best. He ensures you are heard and listened to and then calms any nerves. Isn't condescending but patient and kind. Great with kiddos. All around great experiences!

Please read this if you’re considering Alpenglow:
I first want to acknowledge that Meg was so lovely when we saw her. Furthermore, there was a person at the front desk who was very kind in the midst of a bad experience. The reason we came back after a bad experience is because of amazing reviews.
In terms of our experience, it was horrible. My first pregnancy, I had brown bleeding and minimal cramping. Yes, this can be totally normal and not worrisome. However, I just wanted to be put at ease. Every time I would voice my concern as the bleeding became heavier (lasted 3 weeks), I was told that it’s just normal and to call back if it’s red blood. Which would be an okay response had the assistant not been so annoyed and dismissive everytime I called.
Well one day it was finally red blood. I called and was again met with annoyed behavior. A few hours later they got me in for labs. And two days later, they did labs again to compare results. They were supposed to call me with results but I was able to see it, and they actually never called about it.
That night, I went to the ER with cramps and was confirmed that I was miscarrying at 9 weeks.
Now fast forward to my current experience. I’m nearly 6 weeks pregnant and have cramping/bleeding. Naturally I call and was met with the same cold/dismissive response. I vocalize that I understand that this is most likely nothing, but I would like labs and an ultrasound if possible. I really really really had to push for her to look into if there was any availability within the next few days. She told me that “I would just have to wait.” Please understand that there is an awful, sassy tone to these responses. I ask if I can get my progesterone checked. She said no that they will only check HCG. I pushed and said I would like my progesterone checked too. And she said that their lab does not check progesterone and that is not an option for me. (Keep this in mind for further down)
While I’m waiting for almost 2 hours now, I begin to call around as I know their office is closing soon. I called capstone not realizing that their affiliated with one another
The assistant then calls me under capstone and sassily said “Avery..?” I say “yes?”
She said “Are you calling other places? Because we cannot see you if you’re calling other places.”
So heartless and cold. No empathy.
I bursted into tears and said “I am just trying to be seen anywhere who will take me so I can have a peace of mind. I know it’s just bleeding but this is how my last miscarriage started and I don’t want to be dismissed”
She then goes on to defend herself saying that no one was dismissing me and that they can’t help me if I’m calling around. Clearly ignoring my growing fear and treating me so cold. Well she says she’ll see if she can get me in (their office closes soon and I thought that’s what she was doing 2-3 hours ago).
She calls back and asks how soon I can get in as they close soon. I said 20 minutes.
Fast forward and my husband and I are there. My husband asks the front desk lady about progesterone and ultrasound. Front desk lady goes to the back to ask Alissa. Alissa comes out with a couple people and she is acting SO nice. As if she wasn’t just so heartless on the phone. She has witnesses now so she has to be nice. My husband asks her about ultrasound, she says no. My husband asks her about progesterone, and she says “yes we can do that.” Very kind.
I called her out and said, “on the phone you said you could absolutely not check progesterone levels.”
She said “the test is expensive.”
I said “I would pay any amount of money to make sure all is okay.”
She then goes on to say how there are not enough studies on progesterone. And there is no such thing as supplementing it. (Simply not true. Please do your research. I have friends who are currently supplementing it.)
At this point, I decide I am not giving them any more of my time or money. I would happily go to the ER for hours.
That’s what we did. We left and went to the ER and it was an amazing experience compared to Alpenglow.

I have another review under Avery Lahmann. Please read that one first.
This is an update with another horrible situation. And unfortunately I ran out of room in my original review.

Long story short, Ellen and Tina DENIED me care.

After having a terrible experience with Alissa (or Alyssa, I forget how her name tag was spelled), Tina began to contact me instead. Tina is another medical assistant for Ellen.

Tina asked me how my ER visit was and was wondering if I’d continue care with them. I let Tina know that I just need labs done with them one more time to check my HCG (to make sure I wasn’t miscarrying as I was bleeding and cramping). I told her after labs, they will most likely not have to deal with me again. I informed them I’m switching providers. The soonest I could get in with the new provider was in a month and a half.

Tina called back and said they cannot provide me care and that I need to contact my new provider. I informed Tina that I am currently only established under Alpenglow and not yet established with the new provider, so I can’t be seen by them. I tell her I’m bleeding and cramping, and have had a prior miscarriage. I told her I need my blood drawn by them. She said “you are no longer our patient. We cannot see you.”
I again repeat the situation. She sticks to denying me care.

I hung up and contacted a friend who is a Doctor. At this point, I began to log every encounter as I’m wondering if I’ll have to contact a lawyer.
My doctor friend was able to get ahold of Dr. Cook (who is the attending) and let Dr. Cook know that they have a patient being denied care and it’s pressing they get seen.

Dr. Cook’s assistant called me so fast and got me in for blood work.

They still refused to check progesterone.
Please do you research on progesterone in pregnancy. It needs to be above a level 10 to sustain a pregnancy.

Furthermore, mifepristone is a progesterone blocker. This is used in cases of miscarriage/abortion to stop the pregnancy.
Misoprostol is then induces labor by causing contractions.

It is common practice to check progesterone to make sure your levels are okay to sustain a pregnancy.

Shout out to DR. SOUTH who was extremely concerned with my bleeding (even though it has stopped now) and checked my progesterone without me even asking her to do so.

Would not recommend. This clinic lowkey seems like a scam. Weaponized incompetence. The whole clinic seems unorganized with appointments, billing, quotes, any sort of internal/external communication, etc. Not to mention the tools (such as the ultrasound machine) they use are so outdated it’s embarrassing. Made me feel like I was in the 1940s. They don’t listen or seem to care about patients. Felt like a money grab, vaccine/pill pushing facility. Makes me sad when rude and unprofessional people work in a field such as this especially when it comes to pregnant women/kids. The employees don’t even seem to like eachother or work well together. I questioned why this clinic had such good ratings so I stalked the reviews. Found a lot of their 5 star ratings were from sport leagues they sponsored. So not actual patients. In other words, they are paying for good reviews lol. Makes sense…

Excellent team here. Dr. Schubert is a wonderful doctor who never makes me feel rushed and makes sure my questions are adequately answered. He has brought so much peace to an overwhelming experience as a first time almost-mom! Reannon, his MA and Lizi Jones are also exceptional practitioners!
