I just joined recently and have been extremely pleased with the level of attention, professionalism and overall care exhibited by the wonderful staff here. I was introduced to the program by Social Worker and Home Care Specialist, Gabi (sp?) and Selina, respectively, who were extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful. I had a very pleasant and non-rushed conversation with Dr. Silver two weeks ago, and today met with my Nurse Anahi - an amazing healthcare professional, with enough positive energy to power half the county . I'm very fortunate to have these and other members of my assigned team.

Grand Plaza AltaMed PACE staff have poor communication skills and do not provide professional medical care. Gratefully, I was there only 2 months. It took 3 attempts before I was seen for a routine screening. When I was ill I requested an appointment over 20 times. They have a lady who does not speak English very well answering the phones and she was unable or unwilling to make the appointment, direct me to the correct staff member or get the staff to return a call. I had home care before PACE, requested the same care and never received it. I requested to go to their facility twice a week for socialization and meals but never received the service. I requested physiotherapy but never received the service. I requested a menu plan from their dietician and received 1 meal suggestion (not even 1 full days menu). The only service their staff consistently provides is laziness, carelessness, incompetence and a dismissive attitude.

I worked as an medical interpreter here for one session, never got a disturbing call like this before. Doctor here is horrifyingly unprofessional. Patient was upset for losing his freedom in a nursing facility, and doctor use mean words from the beginnig: "You are in the facility in the first place because no one will claim you, what kind of freedom do you want? If you go outside, you won't last for a day. You will die, or you will become homeless. Because you have no friends, no family. And no one is claiming you."

Stay away from this facility, service here is pathetic.

My father has being cared greatly, especially after he fall, just one phone call away doctor Wong and his team of a professional help to assist my father with check up, medicine and stay in white hospital. I am recommended this facility to help our seniors going through their last stage while their children is with limited time to take care of our parent. Thank you the team of AltaMed Michelle Frost

Worst place ever, if you care for your parents do not bring them to this place. The doctors are horrible who do not care for the patients health and think they are specialists and can treat any problem themselves. The employees are abusive towards the elderly and some of the patients who attend this center do not even need the care, they only go there to see what free benefits they can get. I do not know how they keep funding this place if they dont care for the elders. AVOID THIS PLACE! they paint you a nice picture in the beginning and after signing up they dont give a damn about you or your health.

Very poor service some times they DR's don't even know what they're doing . specially the so called , specialists they charge your insurance a lot of money just to see you for a few minutes.the neurologist gave an appointment for the next seven months!!! when I need it ASAP! ; I had a surgery on my face the doctor left an open scarf on my face.so they told me they will have to open it and perform another surgery ASAP. that was over three months ago.im still waiting ⏭

I'd been a part of this healthcare center in Los Angeles for 3 years. They are excellent healthcare providers. The only reason I'm not at the AltaMed PACE Grand Plaza in Chinatown Los Angeles, is that I'm no longer in their service area. If I hadn't relocated, I'd still be a part of this program.
