I am honestly not sure why there are so many negative reviews.

I have never had any issue with prescriptions, as they have all been called in before I could even drive to the store to get them.

I went to Dr. Sheth as a child, and now he also sees my daughter. His medical advice is sound, and he has a great bedside manner. The staff, including his wife, are always friendly and able to squeeze in appointments the same day when a kiddo is sick. Honestly, he is the best pediatrician I have ever found, and we have seen many.

I've been coming here with my kids for almost 4 years. The staff is excellent especially Christy who has been working there as long as I've been coming here. They are always able to get me in the same day and are so sweet to my kids. My youngest used to hate the doctors but looks forward to coming here. Dr. Sheth is the best! Couldn't recommend a better pediatrician!

Dr.Sheth and his staff has always been there for my children and myself. He always takes the time to listen and get to the bottom of what's going on. We've been going to him for 30+ years. Mrs. Sheth is also amazing. She talks with the kids and they like that alot

Dr. Sheth and his staff are AWESOME! I take both of my kids to him and only him. Everyone is always friendly, professional and respectful. My kids are very comfortable here and I know they will get the absolute best care. The dr listens and dose proper tests on my kids to ensure they are being treated properly the fist time. They all actually care about my family! 5 stars !!!! You guys rock!

Dr. Sheth himself is kind and thorough. Unfortunately, the front desk staff and some of their policies are horrible. While waiting at the desk, a parent called in to ask a question. The staff put them on hold and very openly trash talked the parent right in front of me. They forget to give you referrals and other information. Then refuse to email or provide information over the phone, resulting in repeated visits. They lose or mislabel things. My kids are on allergy medications. They have been for many years. Dr. Sheth put in a 30 day prescription. When I asked to have a 90 day script with refills placed, I was told Dr. Sheth absolutely will not do longer than 30 day scripts and my kids need to have an in office visit every month in order to get the prescription. It is completely unreasonable for me to bring 4 kids into an office every month, especially during cold and flu season just for an allergy medication. Once I was told about the script policy, I switched providers. It’s a shame the staff is so rude and policy so challenging for parents because the Dr. is really nice.

This review pertains to Dr. Sheth’s office as a whole and not to him as a doctor.

We just moved to St Mary’s county and scheduled a new patient visit for our 1 year old son. We had a mix-up with our insurance and realized our first visit wouldn’t be covered, so my wife left the office with our son once she realized it wasn’t covered. She was respectful and told the staff that we couldn’t afford to pay and that she was sorry for the mistake.

She scheduled a new appointment on her way out, but before that date we got a call saying the appointment was canceled. The front desk lady told her that she would call us back “when they were ready” to schedule the appointment. After following up over the next week or so, the same lady told us that the scheduling system was down, and then later told us that the office was closed. These were all 100% lies. On top of this, the lady was blatantly rude consistently through each interaction.

I went in person to figure out what was going on, and once the front desk lady realized that I was the husband of the person who walked out of her appointment time, I got the truth. She said “we don’t accept patients who walk out of their appointments.” I was shocked to realize that she had maliciously kept us waiting (all the while our 1 year old is behind on his shots and we have medical questions for a doctor), in order to somehow get back at us. I apologized again and told her it was a one-time mistake. She was rude to me and described my wife as “the type of person who would do that” with lots of nasty remarks. She did reschedule us but it would have been 3 months after his initial visit, and we weren’t comfortable with how it was handled, so I canceled that appointment.

We made a mistake by leaving our appointment, and I apologized to them for that. But we will not do business with anyone who deceives patients at the expense of our child’s health.

It seems like Dr. Sheth is actually a great pediatrician. But be aware of the vindictive business practices like what we experienced.
