I've been a patient at SCV Medical since 2019, witnessing its transformation from a helpful, caring environment to a chaotic zoo. Initially, I could easily see Dr. Date, who was knowledgeable and supportive. However, within a year, access to Dr. Date vanished, and I was shuffled among dozens of assistants for nearly two dozen appointments over three years, never seeing a doctor. When urgent matters arose, I resorted to the nearby urgent care.

This week marked the breaking point. Despite confirming my urgent need for medication on Monday, I faced delays and excuses during my scheduled phone appointment with Dr. Date the next day. Even after assurances, my prescription failed to reach the pharmacy by 4:00 PM. When I tried to collect the physical prescription from the office, I found them closed early.

The office is marred by a rude, impatient manager, condescending receptionists, and undereducated assistants. Dr. Date seems virtually inaccessible. It's easier to search for diagnoses online than rely on this disorganized, unprofessional office. It's disheartening to witness such a decline in care and professionalism.

Perhaps they are too involved in their Bella Skin “body treatments” at their Sylmar office to care about SCV Medical any longer

I am extremely disappointed and disheartened by the subpar service I consistently receive from the front staff at this location. Their rudeness and apathy are truly disconcerting. If I could, I would give a zero-star rating. Unfortunately, I chose this location for its convenience, being close to my residence.

One particular staff member seems to harbor a genuine disdain for her role, as evidenced by her perpetual miserable demeanor and unacceptable treatment of patients, including my husband and me. Following an appointment with my husband, which was unfortunately marred by an insurance issue that prevented him from being seen, we were still courteous enough to express gratitude to the staff. However, I was met with a hostile and inexplicable glare from the same staff member, which only added to my frustration.

Furthermore, I am disappointed that patients are only attended to by nurse practitioners, without the option to see a licensed physician. In light of these issues, I strongly advise others to explore alternative options for their healthcare needs, if possible.

I have yet to see the same practitioner twice here, despite efforts to be scheduled with someone I trusted (NPs named Olga and Ruby who were wonderfully kind and the reason I came back and am giving 2 stars). I was told "at least you're pretty" when I was crying about financial and medical concerns during an appointment, and left with no resources when faced with multiple medical diagnoses. The front office staff are cold and feel uncaring, and with such limited office hours (9-12, 2-5), it becomes really difficult to speak with a human to schedule anything when you yourself are working. I am actively looking for a new provider. Don't go here, you won't feel prioritized in the slightest. It's clear that you are only a paycheck, and they're happy to see the back of you.

Incredibly unprofessional office. I scheduled an appointment a month in advance to see the doctor. On my appointment date I was there 30 minutes early only to wait an hour to be seen. I paid to see a doctor but once inside I was told there was no doctor unavailable and I could only see a “student physician assistant”. I immediately walked out. After reading the reviews here it seems I should have expected this. The only 5 star reviews seem to be from their employees…

Dr. Date doesn’t even deserve one star! Let me explain…. My grandmother passed away on 6/17 and we were waiting on Dr. Date to release the cause of death and he wouldn’t answer his phone for the mortuary or anyone. My dad called multiple times and left messages and no one called back. I called multiple times and no one called back. Finally after about a week of trying to get ahold of him, he answered and was extremely rude. All he had to do was a 30 second call to release the cause of death the Health Dept. And he says he will have his office take care of it. I told him That they needed him to call it in because he was the doctor who found the causes of death. Then he finally called in about a day later, and released the cause of death. We thought we were all good to go for her cremation and guess what?…. It was denied by the Health Dept…. Because Dr. Date was signing it with a felt tip pen. And it was smearing. I mean seriously 😡😡😡 I’m sure this isn’t his first dead person he had to deal with… so why was my grandmothers situation a joke to him…… he should know what he needs to do when it comes to a death! I being her granddaughter should have been able to grieve but no I was policing the job of someone who is supposed to be educated for what he does…. I am highly irritated and frustrated with this Doctor. Be careful who you trust with your care, especially if he is overlooking your ill loved one.

Resolution 2 days shy of 1 month of her passing, she has finally been cremated. What a joke 😣

This office SCV MEDICAL GRP(DRS DATE AND PARVINCHIE) dont deserve not one star. I came in as a new patient, front desk was cold and they seemed unhappy. That's the first sign! I didn't see a doctor. I saw a PA . But what really got my goat, it took two days to get my medication. They never sent in the RX. I came in again today, again never saw a doctor . Came in with a painful condition. Close to the end of day, I called about the antibiotic...said they were in the process. They never sent in the antibiotic. I called again and they put the phones on service an hour before closing time. The answering service said they would get a hold of them and let them know that I'm still waiting for my prescription. Around 30 minutes later I called again and they didn't answer the phone. The answering service said they were closed and there was no way of getting a hold of anyone in addition they don't have a doctor on call. I never received my prescription! They obviously don't care and I will never refer anyone to this office. As a matter of fact I'm never going back as well. I will be calling Medicare to let them know that they are negligent in treating a patientsin pain. They could even be called malpractice. This is a horrible office I have never experienced anything like this , such neglect

This office is absolutely amazing. The office staff is always kind, helpful, professional and patient with you. They provide all the referrals needed and address all your concerns. The team here is very efficient and will take the time to listen to your concerns/issues. I would definitely recommend this Drs office to anyone searching for the best care in the area.

I came to see him for general check up. He is very professional and knowledgeable. The office stuff were very friendly and was promptly seen at the time of my appointment. It was a nice change from the usual long waits at doctors offices despite having an appointment. Dr. Date was very friendly, he didn't rush me during the interview. Definitely would recommend.
