We recently moved into the area and didn’t have a vet. Our five year old kitty has a slight issue with an anal gland and it appeared to be acting up. Of course we noticed this late on a Thursday evening. We called the animal clinic first thing on Friday morning and Connie answered. She could not have been more understanding and worked us in for a quick check and expel just to make sure our kitty, Minnie, didn’t have issues over the weekend. The visit was quick, professional, and very reasonably priced. Another thing worth mentioning is that they have a cat ‘on staff’ at the office. Minnie was upset about being in a carrier and going to the vet, but the office kitty came up to the carrier and Minnie calmed right down. I’ve never seen anything like it-amazing! We have definitely found our new vet! ❤️

Nice staff, good with animals. Unfortunately, we waited a whole month for the apartment. The dog had red paws, rashes and itching. The doctor examined the dog, looked at the ears, skin, and also checked the perianal glands. He prescribed three medicines for us: for pain, allergies and ear drops. All services cost 208$. We didn't have insurance.

While camping locally our fur baby got a foxtail in her ear. They took her in right away. They cleaned out her ear and the cost was way less than expected. They made a bad situation as pleasant as possible. I really liked the doctor and all the staff. Thank you to AMC and Dr Smith.

Vet techs always have a caring ear. I feel very comfortable leaving my special needs dog there. They always accommodate her to clip her nails in a timely fashion. Lowest cost vet in area. Recommended by animal assistance programs.

They have always been sweet and kind to me and my animals. I have had 2 cats live past 20 years and both were patients here. Recently had to put down my cat Buddy, they were flexible with my work schedule. The doctor was able to go through with the procedure with minimal notice, even after I was struggling throughout the day with the decision.

When we first moved to Santa Barbara I got a recommendation for Dr Smith. We took our little rescue, Lenny, to him and I liked him. He didn't push unnecessary treatments. A few months later Lenny had his first seizure. I wasn't familiar with seizures and didn't know what to do. I thought I'd call the Dr's office although it was 9:30 at night. I figured I would get a recording and a recommendation for an emergency animal hospital. Instead Dr. Smith answered the phone. He said they couldn't do anything for him at the emergency room and that Lenny should calm down in 5 to 10 minutes. He walked me through what was going on and stayed with me until Lenny calmed down. I couldn't have asked for better service.

Always pleasant staff, had a quick vaccine update with the technician and she tuned right into how stressed my doggy was and just slipped them in in the lobby. Great job!
