If I could give more stars I would. I came to the Arukah Center during a very low point in my life, unfortunately. Fortunately I was met with kind, empathetic and extremely professional therapists. I felt like I truly walked away from my time spent there with some very valuable and helpful tools. I truly enjoyed working with Marlene and Dawn, both have different styles but ultimately very insightful. I came away truly valuing the relationships I had built. I will highly recommend this center to anyone who needs in depth and successful therapy.

Absolutely pathetic experience

A) had an appointment scheduled for September first that was scheduled three weeks ago. Late last week was asked to reschedule which I unwillingly agreed.

B) I arrived at 830 am in order to ensure I was on time and at 920 (20 minutes after they are listed to open)

C) refused to move forward when they should have asked the question supposedly preventing the evaluation in the last three weeks.

D) there are plenty of more affordable options and highly suggest going to another agency

During the time that I was dealing with multiple things in my life such as legal matters, trauma, and addiction, I was referred to see Marlene. She comes across very direct which some people have a hard time with, but I highly respect that trait in people. Aside from being direct, she also shows great empathy and provides tremendous support, but to those who are willing to embrace the support. Because of her and her suggestions, I received amazing treatments to overcome the challenges within myself and in my life. I am still working on myself and continuing to grow, however I am beyond grateful to Marlene by being in my corner at the very beginning of a long road of recovery (mentally, physically, and emotionally).

I cannot express enough gratitude for Arukah Center and its team. Before attending, I didn't even realize I had issues with alcohol that I was avoiding. The guidance and support I received helped me confront and acknowledge these problems amongst others. She created a safe and supportive environment where I felt comfortable opening up about my struggles. Her straightforward approach and insightful feedback made me realize the depth of my problems and encouraged me to take the necessary steps towards recovery. Through her passionate teaching and unwavering support, she has truly shaped me into a more considerate member for my community and a reliable, caring member to my family. This class has been a transformative experience, and has provided me with many tools to use moving forward to a better future. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking positive change in their life.

I was referred to Arukah through the Colorado 4th Judicial District's probation department. I wasn't happy about paying for the initial consultation fee and the hourly fee for the sessions but after the first session I was really glad I was referred to Arukah. The counselor was adamant about getting me finished with the court's requirements and recommendations and turning in patient discharge paperwork to my probation officer. She made it very clear from the first session that her goal for me was to ensure I was mentally/emotionally stable enough to handle the stress of not only the courts but my everyday stressors too. She gave me clear goals and emotional tools to help me stay on track and make it easier to stay sober. All in all I feel that what I paid for the sessions was more than fair and I appreciate all the help and guidance I was given. If I ever felt in need again I would 100 percent return to Arukah.

I was mandated by the courts to use them as a counseling office via zoom. Marlene did not even say high and asked me if I had paid my $325. I stated I had not. She stated that I had to pay that for the hr. Before continuing. I gave her my card on zoom. She was rude and stated that she mentioned it on the email. The whole time she talk she was irritated and just plain rude. She recommended that I take therapy classes once a week and a once a week private counseling session. Basically $18,000 for 18 months. I told her my probation is only 1 year. Her face turn red and I could see how angry she was. She stated that she would not help me and refused to work with me. So basically I lost $325 for nothing. If I could give no stars I would.

In the time I have known, Marlene at the Arukah Center, I have found her to be one of the kindest and gentlest souls, I have ever met. She treats everyone she encounters with compassion and she truly understands the human psyche. I would recommend her to anyone who is seeking counseling or therapy, no matter the reason. Marlene has a true passion for helping others through their time of need.
