I was skeptical, being new patient. But my experience was absolutely amazing, from Brittany my nurse, to other staff members, I felt compassion and desire to help me. I was seen by Dr. Sonja Whitaker... Whom I really liked and felt comfortable with. I was examined, EKG, and much time going over my issues and BEING heard. I truly feel this is the place to go. I presented her with several issues I'd been dealing with and she's addressing everything. I feel relieved to have found a Dr. and team of people interested in my care and well-being.

Dr. Price and her staff are the most caring and do above and beyond of what they do to all their patients. Me and my wife are very grateful and very fortunate to have such loving and caring health care professionals. I pray that they will always have the best health so they can continue to serve their patients. Dr Price, Cynthia and the team are considered an asset of the organization?

Appointment almost always on time. Feel like the time spent with dr is getting shorter and shorter and not covering all issues I like the doctors and they are friendly and would not change a thing. They are working as a team on my health and well-being

I would definitely not recommend this place. They kept canceling my appointments, and I waited an entire month for the lady to call me, only to cancel at the last minute. On top of that, she was extremely rude when she asked if I could move my appointment to another day,I said no and she said "Uh, well, you're just going to have to move it."

I always have a great experience at Ascension medical group Perdido. Dr Ashley Hunter is always so pleasant and professional. I'm happy to have her as my physician she listens to what I have to say and is proactive to get things done if I have any medical issues.

Received text notification for appointment. When I arrived, I was confused when asked why there by the assistant. I said I didn't know, and that I didn't understand what she was asking (something like “are you here for labs, or do you have your results”). When I explained I didn't know why I was there or what she was asking me, she became annoyed. I said if you ask me a clear question, I can give you a clear answer, because I don't understand your language (lingo). The assistant became very angry w me and stormed off. Moments later, the Doctor told me I wouldn't be a good fit in the facility, and fired me as a patient. Before I left, we determined that an A1C was scheduled, but I had received no instructions to fast (appointment was at 1:00). I was not told what the assistant told the Doctor I said or did. I am very happy to find another provider because of the lack of information within the Sorrento Road office and/or provided to me. Further glad to leave based on the attitude from the assistant, and the unwillingness from the doctor to hear my side of the story. I was just as upset as they were. Seems the facility has and follows a set of rigid procedures (right down to a second person accompanying the doctor when she fired me) for check-in, etc that makes their life easy, not mine. Apologies if I somehow upset the assistant when I was treated fairly rudely- certainly not my intention or my typical approach when consulting with a “professional”.

All facts!…. We are *very* limited to have a local PCP in the Perdido Key area. I initially went to a local doctor associated with Baptist when I moved here. What an absolute nightmare to say the least!!!! It was truly scary and shocking it was so bad! So I switched to Dr Sonja Whittaker instead. What a difference!!!!! Other doctor: 6 months later and zero progress or concern for the very serious issues I needed addressed resulting in being FULLY homebound! Dr Whittaker: 100% thorough, took the appropriate time, asked questions, and leaves no rock unturned!!! Other doctor: Get in! Get out! Quickly!!!!! Doesn’t matter if you have numerous serious issues along with lifelong diseases and are a new patient. Just hurry! Other doctor: Only thing she did for me was charge my insurance and waist my time. Dr. Whittaker: Proactive solutions & she doesn’t give up until then! Other doctors medical assistant: Literally openly lectured me like a naughty child for being 10 minutes late without even asking why (or she would have known that aside from pulling over and vomiting from my high BP and heart rate, I was waiting in the check in line for over 15 minutes!!!). Nothing like being a scolded 50 year old! Dr Whittakers nurse: Brittney is beyond words she’s so incredible in every aspect!!!! In fact all of the staff are exceptional. —- Wait time: Other doctor: Super fast and zero wait time!!! Dr. Whittaker: Lengthy at times. …but I’ve already explained why. As someone who worked 20 years in the medical field myself, I KNOW that I would much rather wait and have a thorough and accurate exam rather than be herded through for profit margins and KPI’s. —- It’s amazing and concerning how 2 different woman can treat their profession and community so differently!!!! I thank God I switched to Dr. Whittaker and only regret not doing it sooner.

Was helped with a very professional team of medical professionals. From the time I walked in and was helped by the receptionist to entering in to a clean examine room , and being helped by a very welcoming nurse to an examination room. The examination and visit was done by a PA Dr. Kotter and he was very thorough.
