The billing Dept and Scheduling Depts here are the worst. They haven't billed our insurance correctly for over a year - even after multiple calls with them and insurance - on the line together!

And instead of calling to reschedule an apt (initiated on their end- on the the same day - for a time critical apt), they send an automated notice- then make you call to reschedule and have you on a hold cue forever. So frustrated with this company.

Been trying to get Ascension to bill my insurance company (Retired Military) correctly for about a year. They cant seem to figure it out. Many phone calls with them and my insurance on the same group call. For a billion dollar company this is embarrassing. I will never use ascension ever again.

We are so very disappointed in Ascension Perdido. As retiring US Military Retiring back home, it has been a nightmare trying to deal with this medical group. First, our medical insurance was not correctly received with them. We have had more than 4 calls to them via our insurance for them to clarify the bill. Initially they insisted that we had Medicare part 2, which we do not have, nor want. We have our own highly accepted personal insurance. Simply trying to have them to document our USA military post office address was another fiasco. Trying to connect via their phone service is very difficult. Their electronic online portal service is blocked if you are overseas. We do not recommend this group. Do not know what is overall going on with Ascension, but we have tried to do business with no luck. Will never return to them. Has made our transition back to Pensacola very difficult and stressful. Will seek out better coordinated and organized medical group.

Red flags. Front desk staff is nice, but there are some serious gaps in care. I'm lucky enough to have had care at nationally ranked hospitals and I'm sad to say I can see the difference. Please, if you go here you need to advocate for yourself. Just because someone has an MD, RN or NP in front of their name doesn't make them perfect.

For one, they messed up noting me as a new patient at my appointment. They hadn't gotten my records, in fact, they never sent the request. When I showed concern they wouldn't have my full picture, I was told it "wasn't normal for new patients to have records for review." Huh? How can a doctor understand you without ANY medical history?

Nurse took first BP over my outerwear which created an artificially high reading which made them want to immediately EKG me. When I pushed for a second reading I sat by myself for over 30 minutes.

When they scrambled to put notes in for the doctor, they asked "are you one of those people that does vaccines?" Huh They didn't even ask for my vaccine record so you could lapse all of your vaccines without knowing.

Dr. Whitaker in particular was harsh, disregarded my mental health and cracked a joke, and did a very cursory physical exam if you could call it that. She tried to diagnose me with multiple issues that needed expensive scans in some cases just by looking at me. When I pushed back she told me my doctors weren't thorough enough.

I was in for a routine blood check and just had a clean physical 6 months ago and no symptoms..... This treatment has given me a significant amount of fear on a daily basis. I honestly cannot trust her based on the red flags along the way. It was terribly upsetting and actually brought me to cry in the office.

She noted she doesn't even do follow ups, it is all delegated to "mid levels" including annual exams. AKA you will never have someone get to know you!

Sooo, my original Dr. moved and I remained at the office because the staff and Dr. Miranda was AMAZING. I was spoiled by there professionalism and cheer that they ALWAYS had. So after they left it wasn't quite the same. Staff was friendly/professional, but I couldn't quite connect with doc. So I ended up choosing Dr. Heather Dickinson in Perdido and PRAISE GOD, she is just as SWEET AND THOROUGH! She addressed everything in a timely manner with professionalism, expertise & care. So needless to say I hit the jackpot in the physician dept. AGAIN FINALLY and the staff is nice.

The staff was timely, efficient and friendly. My concerns were addressed and a treatment plan offered and explained by the attending physician. As someone with 25 years of medical clinic and hospital management experience, I can say this was a very smoothly run facility with excellent care.

I had a virtual visit with Erin, NP 7/7/20... she gave me full attention the duration of our call...listened; offered her advice & a solution that is actually working...this was my 2nd visit with her & she has my total confidence in helping me to seek resolution. I will not hesitate to continue to use this office & staff as my primary. They place their patients as top priority & I feel blessed to have them a phone call or visit away.

After seeing this group for about two years I can say that I do not trust them to handle my medical needs. This is the most unresponsive group of people I’ve ever experienced in a medical environment. Many messages gone unanswered. Follow-up for this group is non-existent commiserate with the feeling I get from them that they just don’t have any cares to give. There is little to no sick call availability. Communication for them is a challenge at best. My primary doc makes me feel like she does not care if I live or die. Some of my testing results have sat on her desk, showing a spot on my lungs, for weeks now. Enough is enough. My insurance will change in June and I’ll be making a change to a completely different group. Fortunately I have other means to be treated but if I had to rely on them I would be in a world of hurting.
