My 8 year old daughter and I had appointments back to back. The hygienist was super patient with my daughter and all the questions she asked. She took the time to explain and describe the process. She emphasized on the importance of brushing her teeth after eating sweets to prevent cavities. We have been going to this dental practice for some years and are very pleased with the courteous service and efficiency of the staff.

Ascent Dental (Great Expressions) in Longmeadow, MA Review:

This review is not a reflection on the dentist, who provided excellent care. However, I am extremely dissatisfied with the dishonest, unprofessional, and misleading billing practices of Ascent Dental (Great Expressions) in Longmeadow, MA.

The level of incompetence, unprofessionalism and lack of care is alarming. The quoted price for my treatment increased by $100 with each visit. Furthermore, the billing system is not synchronized between the local Longmeadow office and the headquarters.

I was repeatedly (at least a dozen of times) assured by the Longmeadow office that I shouldn't worry about the bills and that I didn't owe the balance. Meanwhile, the headquarters office continued to send me final notices and bills. Now, the Longmeadow Office has told me that, there was miscommunication and I, indeed, have to pay the bill and... it's another $110 more (all this after ~10 months of the date of procedure).

I've never encountered a level of unprofessionalism, negligence, and disregard for customer care as I have with this office and their billing practices. The inconsistent communication has been a significant source of frustration and stress for me.

As a result, I will not be returning to this office, and I would strongly advise others seeking a decent experience and fair treatment to avoid it as well.

I had a new hygienist today named Dan. Dan did a fantastic job on my cleaning. He was thorough, friendly and very professional. I wish I could get my teeth cleaned daily!

I went in for a dental cleaning today and had Lynn. She was fabulous, she had a nice, calm and composed demeanor and took her time to explain things and gave great recommendations. I look forward to my next appointment with her.

This is my first time at the practice and the space was very clean. Everybody was super friendly technicians, front desk and the doctor. It had been a long time since I had my teeth cleaned so it was a little uncomfortable but the technician who worked with me was really kind, really patient and super informative about what she was doing and why. I wish that the doctor had stayed with me a few minutes longer to see if I had any questions about the procedures he recommended. Turns out I need to get my wisdom teeth removed. But overall worth the wait and will definitely be going back for future procedures

This was a quick visit today to Dr. Malay. An older implant needed part of the screw cap filled in that was partially worn away. My hygienist, Kaitlyn Sweeney, noticed it yesterday when she was cleaning my teeth. So I was in and out of the office this afternoon in about 15 minutes.

Dr. Lam and his staff have always made me feel comfortable at all of my visits. I was very honest with them about a traumatic experience that I had with my previous dentist and they responded with compassion. At my last visit, I had Monica as my hygienist. She was very kind, thorough, and intentional with everything that she did with me. I will recommend them to anyone who is may also be afraid of dental procedures!
