Great place...they got me in and out quickly and I had a very thorough eye exam. The whole staff is very friendly and efficient. Of course I think the world of Dr. Vandiver. I have been a patient of his for quiet sometime. He is a very caring and professional but approachable doctor. Being a diabetic I really feel he is on top of my care. I trust him with my eye care!!

The support staff at Athens Eye Care worked with me to setup an appointment with Dr. Evans quickly regarding unusual irrigation and cloudiness in both of my eyes. They were kind and professional. Dr. Evans provided excellent professional care and guidance. I have been a long term patient of Dr. Evans' and have never been disappointed with the care I have received at Athens Eye Care.

The staff knows how to treat their customers! I called last week to book an appointment and the soonest I could get was in December.
I asked to be called if there was a cancellation. I got that call and was scheduled for today a 3:45.
I arrived at 3:35, checked in and was called back at 3:47!
My doctor's assistant was very professional, courteous and welcoming. It's nice being treated as she treated me
I can't say enough descriptions of my doctor. He seems more like a family member - the kind you love sitting with at Thanksgiving - not the one you wish you could remove from your family tree!
Expedient, customer focused, professional and every other positive description don't come close in fully describing this incredible team of professionals!
I don't live close to their office. I probably pass dozens of places I could get an eye exam, but I'd not come close in finding such an outstanding set of folks who care about their clients to their level.

The experience here is amazing. Staff is prompt, courteous, professional, friendly and Dr. Paul Vandiver is the absolute best! He was my doctor in Huntsville and I followed him to Athens. He is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, personable and will cautiously navigate through any challenges you might have to achieve the best vision and eye health possible for you!

Called at the end of July to make an appointment. The first available they had for a new patient was October 25. When making the appointment I asked if they took my insurance before waiting this long for an appointment. I was told yes they do take my insurance. Two days before my appointment they called to verify my insurance and after waiting 2 1/2 months for an appointment they informed me that they do not take my insurance and when asked why they told me they did take my insurance when I made the appointment she said they don’t bother to verify or make sure they take your insurance until 2-3 days before your appointment…knowing people are waiting for these appointments for 2+ months to be seen!
