My husband arrived here yesterday from hospital after fractured hip. We were so pleased and impressed with the staff's attentiveness. It gave us peace of mind that we chose the right rehab facility. Today, he had physical therapy! Delores was excellent.

The entire staff at Avon Health, taking care of our loved one, has been flat-out fantastic! They are kind, caring and altogether professional. From immediate care to rehab, and everything in-between, we're quite grateful. Given our somewhat PC edge circumstances, we've been absolutely delighted with the attention provided. Thank you AHC!

Would never recommend Avon Health Center. We sent our mom there for rehab, based on Google reviews. Let me tell you, our experience was NOT 4.7 stars.

My mother was in excruciating pain and repeatedly pleaded with the nurses for stronger pain medication. However, she was initially only given acetaminophen. This situation felt eerily similar to a scene from 'Terms of Endearment,' where I found myself desperately pleading with the nursing staff for more effective pain relief. It took two hours before she received any stronger medication. Regrettably, the majority of the staff demonstrated a lack of empathy and unprofessional conduct.

One terrifying night, she woke up around 2:00 am to find a man kneeling by her bed, his face uncomfortably close to hers. He stated, "I have your laundry. I'll bring it back in the morning," before leaving. Needless to say, my mother was extremely frightened.

The next day, I visited my mom, and she explained the distressing events that had occurred. I immediately went to the nurse's station to report the incident. To my dismay, four staff members were glued to their phones, seemingly unconcerned. When I explained the situation, their dismissive responses were, 'Yeah, that's Dominic,' and 'He's harmless!' I was stunned. 'Harmless' was not the point! Their lack of concern and failure to take any action to address the situation were unacceptable.

My mother was discharged from the facility a day or two later, without any noticeable improvement. Shockingly, we were horrified to learn from a private homecare nurse two days after her discharge that she had developed bed sores. Our senior citizens deserve better healthcare, compassion, and safety. If you're looking for a facility that prioritizes your loved one's well-being, please look elsewhere.

I honestly like the place. It’s clean, the nurses that I worked with were team player, very helpful. Place is clean.. only reason why u put 4 star is because of the linens.. always short of linens & soiled linen in the trash bags not taken out for the next shift. This is the ONLY negative comments I can say. But overall it’s a great environment. Just focus on your work & you’ll be fine.

Today, i interview for a CNA position and everything looks as it should be as cleanliness, friendly environment and the pay is decent . I know facility has its own dilemma but from the looks of it, i really would love to be part of the Avon Healthcare Family that how welcoming it was.

Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Residents were out and around in the hallways and looked happy. Everyone looks like they’re doing a good job!

I visited for the first time a relative who had just arrived at the Avon Health Center a couple of days before. I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the facility and the friendliness of all staff I encountered. When I detected something not quite right with my family member I notified the nurse's desk and someone came immediately and rectified the situation. I was very impressed because that has not been my experience with other loved ones in facilities in another town. I felt that the care my loved one received was spot on and felt comfortable that he was in a place that was safe and would help him get better.
