Labor and delivery-
The nurses are amazing. I had great care from them from the moment I walked in the door until the moment I left. They were all caring, kind, and considerate. All the nurses I had were supportive and never pressured me to do anything, take anything, or change my views on anything that I chose for myself or my newborn. I never felt forgotten about or like they weren't attentive. The nurses ended up delivering my baby because my midwife didn't make it in time, it was a very fast transition. They didn't panic or tell me that I needed to wait, they simply did what they had to do (they deserve a raise for that one)! Follow up from the hospital was great. The only thing I don't care for is their check in process.

I went into Banner Ironwood ER this morning with severe neck, back, hip, left arm numbness and pain with a heart condition with possible afib. After sitting in the lobby for 30 minutes I was called for vitals. Just as I went to sit down a new young mother came in with her baby saying that he had made a few small sounds every few minutes.
They asked me to wait a second while they did baby vitals which were all normal then took them back immediately. When the nurse returned I voiced my complaint with her that my pain level is still through the roof and I still feel afib. She said I needed to wait my turn and can now wait for everyone else or go somewhere else.
I am now being taken by ambulance from a different ER to Chandler Regional where my cardiologist and back surgeon are meeting me.
I have NEVER seen such unprofessional behavior by anyone!!!
I will be hiring an attorney especially if I have complications due to having to leave to know I would actually be seen.

I will tell you that this is NOT the only time I have been mistreated by this hospital.

The other time my cardiologist gave strict instructions on medication, etc for my afib which the er DR completely ignored and they almost didn’t get my heart restarted due to it!!

If you value your health and life I would highly recommend going somewhere else!!

Update: make that over SEVEN HOURS!!! It is now my toddlers bed time and she hasn’t had dinner! They brought her a pack of teddy grahams. She is starving and tired. We saw the doctor for all of 5 mins and now we are sitting here waiting for a dose of medication and discharge papers. It could have been a quick in and out but nope! This is the stupidest thing ever!!!! DO NOT COME HERE! You could die out in that waiting room and they wouldn’t even know for hours.

I was told to bring my 2.5 to the ER that she needed to be seen TODAY by one of Banners Clinic Nurses. So I brought her. We have been sitting here for over 3 hours. I get it that it’s an ER. I get they are busy. It was busy when we got here and it’s busy now. But all the people that were here have come and gone plus others that came in after. Again ER I get it. But come on!!! Her ear is huge and swollen! She is in pain. She is 2.5 years old! This is ridiculous!!! I would not tell anyone to come here especially not with kids.

I experienced a medical emergency where I lost a lot of blood and the ER made me wait over 20min, when I finally got called back no one helped me (no wheelchair as they could clearly see I was having trouble walking) the door shut behind me and I bled out all over me and the floor. In hindsight I should have just bled out all over the waiting room and maybe they would have taken me seriously. I spent 18hours in the ER going through one of the most traumatic things in my life. For 11hours I was ‘admitted’ but still in the ER. While being treated the medical staff I believe gave me too much narcotics that it caused me to pass out twice! I am grateful my husband witnessed everything as I lost a lot of blood and was heavily drugged by the ER. The ‘nurse’ asked my husband if she should give me narcan! My husband didn’t know what that was. I wasn’t shown compassion by the ER, and when I was discharged 10/8 they basically told me and then came to get me immediately. I was still getting dressed and this lady just walks in stares at me says some stuff then finally leaves. She comes back again in another couple minutes and I told her I’m almost ready. She asked me to push the nurse button when I’m ready so I finally do and this is the response I get “you’re ready now?” It was so rude. No urgency to help me when I got there but it was urgent to get me out while I’m still in pain (given no meds) and bleeding. I’d rather bleed out than go back to this hospital.

Do you like to be threatened with arrest because you ask questions? This is the place for you! Also, their psych doctors don’t care what you have to say. They just want to funnel the patient to their behavioral hospitals. They only want you to shut up, pay them and go to their facilities so they make additional money. Go somewhere else, that listens and cares.

I just want to say I am very disappointed in a hospital that does not have accessible restroom facilities. I brought my husband in for some tests last week. He is in a motorized wheelchair. There was no family restroom for me to be able to go in to assist him. The men's room had no handicapped button to open the door. I had to go in with him, which was quite uncomfortable. The handicapped stall was so small that he had to back his wheelchair in. There was no room for me to assist with his needs. I would think a hospital would have accommodations and I am highly disappointed!

I am truly impressed with the people that work at this hospital and the facility as a whole. I had a complicated pregnancy that required me to get hydration infusions 3x a week. The ATU team; Amy, Lynsey and Krystal are the reason I made it through my pregnancy. They have an amazing radiology team with Tim, Vickie and PJ who helped me so much and provided laughter every time I saw them. The labor and delivery team here was great and so supportive during my delivery. I am so grateful to everyone who helped me through this time.

This hospital is awesome! My wife just delivered our first baby there this week and everyone on their staff was amazing to work with. From beginning to the end, they were really attentive to us. Being first time parents, we were really nervous and anxious but from the time we checked in the staff did everything possible to make sure we were comfortable. I couldn’t thank the staff enough. Thank you Banner Ironwood
