Well hospital itself was ok. Had a battery replacement scheduled for pacemaker. Wanted bloodwork before sent me one place then had to go to another. No organization it seems. After battery replaced ordered food and it was funny “entree says served with” but it is not it is extra according to the lady on the phone. Also the little extras like drizzle on the dessert was not on it is “extra” even though it says “finished with” go figure. When called back lady on phone said entree is not served with those and menu is worded wrong.

I am undergoing pulmonary therapy at Floyd Baptist Hospital. Last Monday morning I showed up for theropy and my oxygen level was %. My theropist got me admitted to the Emergancy Room and within a reasonable time frame I was transfered to Room 233. I had exellecnt treatment/service from the Doctors down to the cleaning staff. I was suprised to get food that was resturant quality cuisine. Even the admisistrative staff was on the ball. I want to give a big hug to all I came in contact with.

My daughter had a procedure at Baptist Floyd through the outpatient surgery department and we were incredibly frustrated, angry, disappointed, and unsatisfied . Her procedure was scheduled for 530 pm and she arrived at 3:00, as directed by her doctor. The last few weeks had already been very difficult due to the circumstances which created the need for this procedure, and yesterday just multiplied all that trauma. It is my understanding that the outpatient surgery center shares anesthesiologists and operating rooms with the entire hospital, which clearly seems an administrative decision in order to save money by understaffing these departments. Therefore all PREVIOUSLY SCHEDULED surgeries are at the mercy of any emergencies which come in. My daughter ate breakfast and had a little water yesterday before 9 am, arrived on time for her surgery for and then proceeded to wait for FIVE hours past her scheduled time. A total of over seven hours since she arrived. The staff tried to move her to the recovery room with a recovering patient and were not going to allow her husband to be in the room with her until we intervened. They wanted to “close the department up” for the night. Because of the long delay, her own doctor didn’t perform the procedure , which was an added disappointment as she felt more comfortable with her own doctor than someone she had never even met (and in fact did not even meet at all before the procedure) We have had several experiences at Floyd and were hoping that since Baptist had taken over it would be better. Instead it was our worst experience ever. She was not even headed home until 11:30 pm. No food , water, nothing for over 14 hours. Ridiculous and completely unacceptable. 0/10. If I could leave zero stars I would . Please, just go somewhere else if you need medical attention.

Baptist Health Floyd Pain Management - Dr. Habimana: I began having severe neck pain December 2nd. I was given an appointment for March 4th. I had several episodes of pain so severe I called Pain Management to see if I could get in sooner. I was told they would look to see if they could move anything around and they'd call me back. Since this was at 3:30 pm, I figured they were about to close and would call me in the morning. No such luck. At 11:00, the next day I gave up on getting a call from them, and I called them instead. Again, I was told they would call me back. They didn't. I called the Patient Experience folks at the hospital, to complain about their lack of attentiveness. Amanda from that department, called Pain Management, spoke to them, and told me they would call me. They did not call. If I could give these folks a Big Fat Zero I would. I had managed to get on a waiting list the last time I spoke with them, but after the third time of "they'll call you" and them not calling, I decided I'd rather go somewhere else where perhaps the staff would care about patients and their pain, more than Dr. Habimana and her staff seem to. So I cannot attest to their quality of care, but you have to get in the door to assess that, and I won't be going to see them, so I cannot rate that. I'm taking my pain to a different Pain Management practice.
Edit: It's February 25th, and today these people finally called me, saying they had a message asking for a call from them. This is 11 days after the 3rd, and last time, I was told they would be calling me. It's far beyond what I'd describe as too late to indicate they're truly concerned about me and my pain. I told them I cancelled my appointment for March 4th, and have made an appointment to see someone else in another practice. I sincerely hope they hone their skills in at least appearing to be concerned about patients and their needs.

I went to this hospital because of when I went there before as Floyd County it was a good experience. But now it's a mess, more people on stretchers in hallways than in rooms. Due to over crowded people working there were bouncing from room to room. Under qualified people. Total confusion.
Then once given a room there was some good qualified nurses. However first night I was in a sauna room was hot I was in a sweat. Then next night I was cold due to nurse turning on a/c in the winter. There were other issues no reason mentioning all

Just wanted to start with WOW! Everytime I come to this hospital it’s a terrible experience. Been waiting here with my wife to get a surgery scheduled for 3pm 8 hours later they finally took her back. All day after no eating and drinking since the night before and in no hurry even though we had a SCHEDULED SURGERY. Kept putting it off FOR HOURS. Now after waiting for 7 hours they came in tell my wife she has to go wait in another room with a male in recovery and wouldn’t let me come with her. Absolutely RIDICULOUS. It was an already traumatic experience for my wife and I due to the circumstances of the surgery and they made it 4x worse. Words cannot describe how upset my wife & I are with this experience. Would not recommend coming to this hospital AT ALL. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL

I can't believe the poor ratings I'm seeing here. My experience with this hospital for the past 9days nonstop as my father is dying (and all their efforts to help him before it got to this point) has been nothing but a blessing from God! All the doctors, nurses, social workers, and everyone continue to go above and beyond for my dad. He is being treated with so much respect and dignity. I've had multiple hospital stays for different reasons, and I've never experienced so many thoughtful, patient, and knowledgeable professionals. Thank you so much! I can't even express my gratitude in words!!

I want to start by saying the pcu nursing staff was absolutely amazing with my sister and I while our father was passing. That being said, most of the rest of the experience from higher up staff and some of their drs was a bit ridiculous. Our biggest complaint is our dad's medication would expire and when dr Chauhan (whom was the on call dr in the evening most times) would recieve messages from the nurses and his response would be "that sounds like a dayshift problem", absolutely not sir, when you are on call that's your responsibility, and this was on way more than one occasion. Mind you our dad was hospice care and was passing away. Then we would be told on almost a daily basis that our dad was going to be moved or that they were going to change medications even tho what he was on was working just fine as far as keeping him comfortable. Again, this was the higher ups and drs that had never seen him. We were made to feel like basically he just wasn't dieing fast enough for them and I can promise when I say we will never have anyone we know or love there ever again. We were there for almost a month straight from his initial admission until his passing. The last 15 days he was on hospice care (that's a whole other review and will never recommend amedysis to anyone) as I said in the beginning tho, the pcu nursing staff was fantastic and huge advocates for my sister and I and in doing what was right for our father. We have been trying to get in touch with anyone from there to file our grievances but of course havnt gotten any response. But we will keep trying so that hopefully no other family has to ever have that added stress while watching someone they love slowly pass away.
