Worst customer service and no one ever answers the phone. It's impossible to make an appointment within a reasonable time frame. The doctor is always calling out sick or on leave so appointments have been rescheduled over and over again. Wouldn't trust anyone in this office with medical care.

save your time and find a different doctor/PCP. This place isn't worth it.

Great staff, compassionate and friendly. I have 2 providers here and am impressed with both. Have never had to wait for more than 5 minutes.

Their schedule policies are punitive and unfair. They schedule you 20 mins before the appointment is actually intended to start. First time I waited 35 mins for a 20 min appointment. So I spent almost twice as long waiting as I did getting care. Then, if you are more than 10 mins late, they will cancel your appointment. So they expect you to wait 20 mins minimum, but won't wait more than 10 for you. UNFAIR. We are not livestock. Our time matters. Medical care is not an assembly line. Humans are inconsistent and life happens. If we show up, you should see us. Your policies are bad for patients so change them. I am sad for both us patients and the professionals who want to care for us who are suffering under the greed of CEOs and paper pushers who implement policies based on numbers over reality.

This place is awful. It’s a free for all. They are VERY VERY POOR AT COMMUNICATING. I’ve had nothing but trouble. If you have a baby with you and you arrive 10 minutes late THEY WILL NOT LET YOU BE SEEN. IF THE DOCTOR GOES ON VACATION, THEY WILL NOT CALL YOU TO RESCHEDULE. YOU FIND OUT WHEN YOU GET THERE.

Loved it here but my original doctor left, probably due to the quality standards. This is a potentially dangerous place for obese people. Strangely, once I gained weight due to depression and medication (post COVID), all my ailments were because of my weight. Ailments I was having treated for before my weight gain. This is an increasing concern across the country. No medication suggestions, adjustments, no referral to a nutritionist. It was basically “come back when you lost weight then I’ll start caring.” I refused to go back after my doc just blamed everything on my weight and just told me everything will go away if I exercise. I have an irregular skin lesion that could be cancerous! I have other possible urgent issue that isn’t related to body weight! If you’re obese, no matter the reason, look elsewhere for someone who cares about your wellbeing and concerns without that kind of judgement. BMI doesn’t mean everything. Just remember you are beautiful and you deserve the best care possible!

EDIT: I also caught my PCP in a lie, because someone didn’t want to get up early for a 7am call. Had a call late the night before saying there was a family emergency and wouldn't be in so to call in the morning. Called the next morning and they scheduled a phone visit later in the afternoon. With guess who…. No respect, I’m very done with this place.

I feel blessed to have Dr. Garretson and his team working with me.From the moment I had to choose a new provider over 5 years ago I have had no regrets. Considering the insurance restrictions that are constantly changing and making it harder for Doctors and other health care providers to just treat their patients, I’m impressed. Not only did I feel comfortable telling him my entire history without the fear of being judged but he is a great listener. This practice has great receptionists and nurses that are always willing to do whatever you need from them which is rare. Thank you for always taking care of my needs ❤️.

The doctors and staff at this facility are top notch. Unfortunately you won't be able to reach this facility by phone, you can only reach a call center nearby, where the staff are unhelpful and often times rude.
It took me over an hour and 4 phone calls just to talk to another human, who then was extremely rude and short with me.
I suppose this is to motivate people to not make appointments, and instead to use the more expensive Urgent Care. If there was another facility with staff of this quality nearby, I would transfer.

Edit: Today I visited this office again for a relatively simple issue. I was left waiting in the lobby for an hour with no information only to be told they had forgotten about me. Review is now one star. Stay far far away from this poor excuse for a medical facility.

My daughter's doctor is at this practice. It is almost impossible to actually see her. When I've called to set up appointments I've been told there are none (not even with different doctors in the same practice!) and it is suggested we go to Urgent Care instead. We saw a doctor at Urgent Care who was so rude and dismissive that my daughter asked to leave in the middle of the appointment. We left. At one point my daughter was supposed to follow up with her primary after an ER visit for an injury that made it so she couldn't walk and we were told we'd have to wait two weeks. At another point (mid-epidemic) I waited several weeks for a telehealth appointment and then the person who called wasn't even her doctor, it was an assistant. We went in for blood tests two months ago to check some important levels for an ongoing issue. I specifically requested but never received a call back from the doctor, with results. I've called twice and left messages and not gotten a call back. I've tried to get into the portal but my messages about technical issues have not been answered. Reaching anyone by phone is nearly impossible. Expect to wait upwards of 20 minutes on hold or get trapped in an automated response loop indefinitely. And when you do get to talk to a receptionist they are usually in some giant call center and unlikely to actually be anywhere near the practice itself. I have nothing against my daughter's actual doctor but accessing her (or anything that resembles decent health care) is virtually impossible at Baystate Family Health. We are looking to change practices at this point but there are long waitlists everywhere.
