The worst lab company I have ever dealt with. There is no receptionist to help you if you can’t figure out there sign in system and wait times are often long even when there are only a few people there. However, the worst part is their billing. Not once, not twice, but at least 3 times that I can recall (maybe more) my insurance company has paid them and their 3rd party billing seems to have no record of it. Insurance sends them a proof of payment and they send my bill to collections. Happens over and over again. A 5 minute blood draw end up taking hours of my time on the phone to resolve. I wouldn’t be upset if it was a one time thing, but it keeps happening.

I recently visited this reference lab for a blood test, and I was thoroughly impressed with the service. The staff was professional and friendly, making the whole experience comfortable. They were efficient, and I didn’t have to wait long. The lab was clean and well-organized, which is important for a healthcare facility. I appreciate their commitment to accuracy and safety. If you need reliable blood testing services, I highly recommend this lab.

A solid, consistently good lab.
I have never had a bad experience with getting stuck to give blood. The technicians are very good with needles.
I don't like the check-in, which is an electronic pad.
People sit beyond a glassed-in desk.
The lab check-in is different than the x-ray check-in, but they share the same waiting room. The waiting room chair setup is weird with some chairs facing the wrong way-be aware if you are hard of hearing.
Rochelle took my blood, and she was excellent. Consistently good.

Waited for an hour!!! Every person in waiting room was taken, we were instructed to knock on door & then were told we signed in wrong, really! How would one know that! Signed in again exactly the same way I believe & how would we know. They still took people in so we knocked again, was told to hold on, then finally they came for yet 2 other clients at which point we were at wits end. I stood up and said we have been waiting for almost an hour. The sign in is awful no accountability or follow through never again

What can I say, it's a lab, they were quick and friendly.

It was the end of the day and there were no grumpy people looking like they couldn't wait to be done with their day, everyone was very professional and all smiles, it was a nice experience. The x-ray person was very nice. 🙂

The Longmeadow office is very busy with a crowded waiting room. It seems to be understaffed with very long wait times. The phlebotomists are nice, but you just have to wait a long time every time, even if there are only a couple of people ahead of you. Baystate Reference Labs should also update their online location info so that insurance companies and patients have the correct information. Aetna sent me to the East Longmeadow 294 N Main St office that no longer exists. Aetna also said the East Longmeadow Benton Dr location & Enfield location are not on the in network list, which sounds crazy to me because it is the same company, just different locations.

Just went right in and signed in then sat and only waited about 5 minutes before my name called. Fast clean and friendly!

Best phlebotomist there in my opinion are Jillian and Pam. They have been there a long time and can work with the smallest veins on the first poke. One young lad whose been there for about 6 months has a bit of an attitude. Very rude. Laura is also very good. But the young lad really is rude especially when she doesn’t get your vein. Thinks your a pin cushion. Not on my watch get me someone else.
