I don’t know where to begin, from the moment I exited the vehicle at Beach House, I was met with compassion. The intake staff was nothing less than professional. It takes a certain type of professional ability to make a person 1800 miles away from home comfortable. I’d like to add, I struggled with my addiction for over thirty years, I was ready to change my life for the better. I committed myself to keeping my mouth shut and ears open, let’s face it, I was unable to do for myself, what beach house could. In residential, I was able to attend great informational classes , led by professional personnel which taught me about my addiction. Not only was this opportunity given to me, I was also able to attend an AA meeting every night, as well as met with a therapist once a week to discuss where I was at in my recovery. Let me speak about the incredible breakfast, lunch and dinners that were provided, it made me feel as if I was at an all you can eat buffet, absolutely amazing. I took advantage of the beautiful sunrises on the beach every morning where I could start my day in a positive way. I also took advantage of all the extra activities that were put together for us on a daily basis. Just to name a few, movie night, bingo night, karaoke night, arts night and much more. I found it very easy to approach ANY of the beach house staff with any questions, concerns or suggestions. I also enjoyed the weekly chiropractor and massage appointments. As it came closer to my exit date, I made a mature, ethical choice. I showed interest in continuing my education of addiction and sobriety , and requested to be moved into the PHP program. PHP was another example of the care and compassion given by all staff and the opportunity to begin to adapt to a sober life style, and responsibility of myself. The staff at PHP are hands down very professional, and much like residential, the staff at PHP provide cook outs, karaoke , time to fish, watch movies , quiet areas to read and study the big book or just take in the fresh air and practice meditation. They provide transportation to and from a fantastic AA meeting Sunday through Wednesday, with speakers who come to the campus Thursday through Saturday. They also provide transportation to and from the beach in the morning along with transportation to Walmart, grocery store, church, and a additional AA meeting on Sunday. PHP gave me the opportunity to reconnect with my everyday tasks. This being , making my bed in the morning, keeping my room and apartment clean, and cooking dinner for myself. I also enjoyed doing my part in the group room. This is just alittle of what PHP has to offer. I found it refreshing that adult responsibility was included in this program. As for education, once again, the education of my addiction only continued to grow. From working with my therapist on a weekly basis, to the professionals teaching classes each day, not to mention the staff constantly planning extra activities such as going to the park for a session, going to the beach for a cookout , beach time and much more. By the time my PHP program was completed, I was able to notice a significant change in my life. As I stated in the beginning of this, I committed to working the programs Beach House provides for me. I chose to continue working on myself and entered IOP. With IOP, much stayed the same, however, IOP, provides the opportunity to leave the premises everyday, obtain a job, and much more. I can honestly say, It was with a heavy heart that this experience had to come to and end, however, To the entire staff that makes Beach House what it is, from the evening i arrived at intake, through to the completion of IOP, there aren’t enough words, or gratitude I can say or show for saving my life. You all gave me the tools, showed me I am worth it, and I am loved. I am forever in your debt, and you ALL will remain in my heart. For those looking for piece, love and a life free of addiction, I highly recommend Beach House. It’s life changing.

I don’t like leaving negative reviews. I’ve unfortunately been to a few rehabs in the past year.

First off my room was like 50 degrees for 9 days and no one cared. Suck it up I guess. I touched my cell phone for 15 minutes in 9 days. People have families and responsibilities.

I went there for 25 days last year. Good people as far as patients and staff. Everything else was not great. Well food is good šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø. Now they accept like every insurance and the crowd is not great.

The therapy and groups compared to other locations is awful. Like they printed papers off the internet that morning, and make it weird especially you have anxiety. Too many people per group too.

Too many people and not enough therapists and doctor access. Psychiatrist, forget it. All the things they advertise broken. If you want acupuncture, massage, chiropractor, better hope insurance covers. Otherwise šŸ’°

Now the meat. I was told insurance covered on the phone before I arrived and I have never paid for rehab. So I showed up. A few days in I was told $47 a day copay. Ok I’ll deal with it. Then after 9 days I was allowed to touch my phone for 15 minutes. Checked my bank account. An insane bill on my credit card.

They then explained it’s $250 a day plus $47. Told I was explained that already. I pay attention. I was not.

I tried to leave starting at 9 am and was harassed with passive aggressive behavior and delay tactics by their ā€œclinical directorā€ all day. I had to threaten police interaction to leave.

I didn’t get to leave until 8pm or so. Stay far away from them! There are much better places. I’ve toured their PHP too. Don’t!

Don’t get me wrong most staff is amazing. I think it’s management.

Where do I even begin? I sought treatment after a tragic event in my life, hoping for support and healing. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. The staff seemed more focused on checking boxes and moving patients along for the sake of insurance profits than on providing genuine care. Their lack of compassion and understanding for individuals with unique needs was evident, revealing a troubling absence of empathy.

The staff's professionalism was severely lacking, and the facilities were in a deplorable state—dirty and unkempt. The classes felt juvenile and mundane, failing to engage or support those in need. The overall environment felt unsafe and prison-like, which only added to my distress.

This experience has left me disheartened about the system designed to help those in desperate need. I cannot imagine anyone leaving this facility feeling they received professional and compassionate care. I strongly urge anyone seeking help to reconsider and look elsewhere. Please do not choose Beach House Help; there are better options out there.

Everything they will tell you they offer is unavailable. The pool Is shut down ,there's no bio-bed, groups are frivolous and you will not receive proper mental health care. The showers are disgusting, they they never give you a straight answer to your questions, 5 hours of TV and nothing else to do but sit outside . Don't come here if your looking for quality.this place violates client rights every day ... They seriously need to be investigated. I also heard Melissa, the clinical director, berating me to my therapist saying I wanted to leave there to go get intoxicated .....I was sitting right next to my therapist when she said it. 4 people A M.A'd in one day and more left the days following. This place is a joke .. I'm in PHP doing great now with full access to my child and much better environment. Go there if you want but it will not be an experience worth remembering or talking about. .I've started a process that will ,I pray, benefit the people after me.

What I've stated about Melissa, the clinical director,is not a claim,it's a fact . I was sitting right next to Mark when she said all I wanted to do was go get drunk and I expressed directly to Melissa that I heard what she said.
Edit: I spoke with Heather today and she said that I posted this review and that it was negative. I told her this review is based on a 100% honest experience that I had while there. They asked me how could they make things better and I told them that's something they need to ask the people there as a collective and find out what the issues are because it isn't just me and even techs that work there have mentioned that all clients feel the same as I do. So,if the entire population there feels as I do,there's a serious problem. There is a reason why this place has under a 4 star rating and most likely still going down. Choose better than beach house . People need to start making claims with their insurance and the BBB and DCF.

Sobriety is a never ending journey, it’s not a destination. Many have lost the battle just upon entry thinking this place is a resort filled with 5 star amenities. However it is a place where you can grow and learn. When I first came in I thought this place was a glorified jail but as I became more clear headed and completed Detox I understood the purpose of this safe haven. It’s a safe space for those struggling with addiction and mental health, the problem lies in the individuals not being able to surrender. I found myself surrendering upon intake and even though the first 2 weeks seemed receptive and redundant I was able to exponentially triumph as I kept an open mind. I met some of the smartest, coolest, most humble humans I get to call my friends. There was one individual who saved me from my own worst self and that is Mrs. Anabelis Rodriguez. She was like a mom to me in this place that I felt so alone. She was able to understand me in ways no other therapists no matter how ā€œqualifiedā€ failed to do so. She provided me with so much warmth and empathy and I honestly would’ve given up if it wasn’t for her guidance. A therapist who listens with her heart and not just with her ears. I owe Mrs.Ana so much but my form of paying her back is by staying sober. There aren’t enough words to express my gratitude or appreciation for Mrs.Ana. If anyone is reading this and is thinking of attending beach house I strongly recommend you to do so. Give this place a shot, don’t cheat or victimize yourself, accept your condition but know that there is a tomorrow. I left the worst version of myself in beach house and started my journey of growth into the man I want to be for myself and family. Everyone’s journey is subjective but there is a commonality; achieving sobriety. There are so many mixed opinions about this place but the most important thing I can tell you is : only your higher power can save you if you truly surrender. I will never forget my time at Beach House, I hope everyone is able to give this place a fair opportunity because it can truly save you if you let it and most importantly believe it.

My experience was absolutely terrible. First of all don’t let the name fool you. You are across A1A from the beachside so there is no way to go to the beach. When you check in they take your phone and all your ID. You are not allowed to make any calls without permission from a therapist and there is always someone right next to you listening. There was a woman who was mentally ill and dangerous that was in my building and she would go into peoples rooms in the middle of the night. There were no locks on the doors so it wasn’t very restful. They finally threw her out when she attacked one of their workers. There are a lot people who have been in prison I actually felt like I was going to be physically attacked by a man in a class because he didn’t like something I said. The plan they provide you for aftercare is them googling a therapist or AA group in your area and giving that to you. Therapy at most is about 10 minutes a day. It was an unsafe environment where I felt the staff got off on telling you that you can’t watch tv or make a call. I left early due to safety concerns and quite frankly they didn’t care.

I'm greatful for those who took time out to know me, and took time to love me until I could learn to love myself again, I can't list your names or I would, you radiate life wherever you go, and that's what I want to be is a beacon of hope for everyone I come into contact with also. Those are God's Angels, that make Beach House refuge of hope and life. If I could make one wish it would be that Beach House actually did have it own local Sober living program that was affordable and available to every homeless man or woman who came through the doors did the best they could with what they had, and want a safe healthy after care but have no where to begin, and spend their whole time worrying about that silently or openly their entire they enter. Beach house is Beach House, and God is here , I pray God open the door the bank account and make a path for such place..... You didn't keep my self centered broken up butt alive for nothing God.. . There's not that much good luck in the world . Amen

Where do I start…. I’m beyond grateful for beach house!! I came crawling into the doors on October 18th 2024 and I have successfully completed the program with a total of 125 days !!! Beach house literally saved my life. I did the detox and residential part and decided I wasn’t ready for the real world so I went to the PHP & IOP program. And let me tell you…. LIFE CHANGING!!!! I want to first thank Anthony, he is amazing! Always know how to keep the community together and happy! Also Mrs.Loni , mrs.Kim Bri and Rickey are great. but most importantly I want to give my upmost gratitude to Danielle my case manager and ANDROMADA!!!! My amazing therapist!! They showed me so much support the entire 3 months of PHP / IOP that I can’t be grateful enough. Andromada is one of the BEST therapist I’ve EVER came across. I came to her broken, with unresolved trauma and all my problems I’ve been carrying on my back & she molded me and put me back together like a puzzle!!! and I can’t even describe the treatment she’s given me. And danielle handled my case perfectly!! Making everything smoothly for me. And always giving me the best resources. I want to PACK THEM ALL IN MY BAGS AND TAKE THEM WITH ME!!!! Absolutely amazing first and last rehab experience!!! They are the reason I will continue to be sober!!! Thank you beach house! From your best alumni MIQUENYA!
