I would not recommend the risk of birthing here (if you even make it to labor with this practice). There’s essentially a coin’s toss chance you’ll be able to deliver here, and if you are not covered by insurance, the financial risk is absolutely not worth it (unless you have roughly $8k to throw in the trash). Staff is unresponsive, I did not enjoy my care, and I cannot recommend this less to any first time mom especially.

Went for a facility tour in Melbourne to see if this was the place for our child birth. Even with a covered insurance provider, Beautiful Beginnings charges you a $3500 “concierge service” fee that you are responsible for. When asked for an explanation of these charges and what is provided, Mina stated you get access to consult with your midwife(insurance should already cover this…) some preparation educational materials and access to check out used child care and children’s books. Can’t quite see why that cost $3500 for any of that. I’m sure this place would be a great option for those who can afford that $3500 fee but it doesn’t make sense to me personally. Do your research and make sure you ask what you will be receiving from Beautiful Beginnings for $3500 to decide if it makes sense for you. This could be the place for you if you have deep pockets. But it’s hard not to think they care more about making money than providing an alternative to traditional hospital births. *UPDATE* I’ve updated my review to a 1 star due to the reply received from Beautiful Beginnings because they claimed I called back after our tour and “Harassed” them which could not be further from the truth. This is a flat out lie and they know it. Anyone reading their reviews should be concerned with Beautiful Beginnings integrity in the service they provide. If it’s so easy for Beautiful Beginnings to lie and say I called and harassed them, then consider what else they might choose to lie about to you should you decide to work with them. Ask for receipts and ask for details.

I had a fantastic experience with Beautiful Beginnings. This was my second pregnancy and my first with a birthing center. I wish I had come here with my first! All of the staff genuinely cares and I never felt like I was being rushed out to get to the next patient. I also typically didn’t wait more than 10-20min to get to the actual appointment and was out within the hour (whereas at my previous OB, I’d usually wait 50min and have to rush through the appointment). They’re respectful when you want to reject something as long as it doesn’t put you in a high risk category, and do everything they can to keep you safe and lower risk. I decided to deliver at the birthing center and it was comfortable and pleasant (as comfy and pleasant as labor can be, anyway...). Everything was the polar opposite of my horrendous experience with a regular OB and hospital birth. I’ll be coming back for my next pregnancies.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Mina was hired to help us with our insurance reimbursement after having my daughter at a birth center. The best I can say about working with her is that she was unresponsive and completely unprofessional. The worst is that she did not ever actually complete the process she was hired to do. An entire year went by with me following up monthly, sometimes weekly, to ask her if she was doing anything. After a year, I found out through my insurance company that she never actually submitted the claim! After letting her know I would be taking this into my own hands, a year after my daughter was born, she sent me the document she had prepared, and it was signed by my provider NINE months after I birthed my child. Not only did it take her nine months to complete the document, she never actually processed it. This was a reimbursement to insurance for thousands of dollars and that is why we hired someone because we thought it would ensure it was done correctly. She 1000% dropped the ball leaving us out all of the money during an already hectic time with a new baby. This has been an absolute nightmare. I have had to fight with my insurance to file an appeal because the claim was never submitted by Mina. She was the preferred vendor for my birthing center and I know they are no longer working with her, either. Please save yourself a massive headache and a lot of money and go elsewhere!

My husband and I moved here for out of state last year and then became pregnant with our third baby. I had an amazing midwife back in Washington so I was prepared to settle and was just grateful to have found a midwife who would give me the home birth I wanted. Rachel and her team FAR exceeded my expectations. As a v-bac patient I always felt that they were taking every necessary precaution to insure a safe delivery. I loved every member of their team. Chris, Tricia, Maci, Mina, Tallisyn - they’re all amazing and easy to talk to. My home birth was an incredible experience; Rachel and her assistant Becky were attentive, confident, and created such a lighthearted environment that made the laboring process almost (and I say almost) enjoyable. I will absolutely be using them again in the future.

Be advised there is an IMMEDIATE Intake fee charged of $500 which is NON REFUNDABLE for any reason. I was unable to go with my pregnant daughter to the initial appointment (that's on me). They did not check her or do anything except take a blood/urine test, and tell her she needed to pay $500 right then and there. I had given her a check, she said she wasn't sure we were going to work with them, but they said well you owe that today and can decide later. I called a few times saying we would not be using their care, because my daughter was uncomfortable with the idea of an unconventional birth and no epidural. So it was not going to be a good fit, can we get a refund? no. ok well can we get the ultrasound, and the appointment with an actual midwife that was supposed to be included. no. You are past the time that we can see you. From the beginning it was unprofessional and took many calls to get her initial appointment to begin with, and when she showed up, no one was there.....she was there along with another woman waiting 15 minutes for someone to show up for their appointment. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.
