This place is the worst. I had surgery and rented a wheelchair from them. Not one but two and both had broken front wheels. Left me stranded on the streets and had to wait for a pickup. low quality. Stay away

I am adding an update to this review because Belmont Medical finally brought me a chair that did not break. I was fully expecting them to ask me to come in, but to my surprise the owner brought the new chair to me in Boston and picked up the broken one. While it was all a big inconvenience, I am happy that he did the right thing, which is quite rare these days.

I’m not sure what some of the negative reviews I’ve read are about but my experience today at Belmont Medical Supply was great. I needed to buy 2 pairs of teds stockings and toilet grab bars for my 86 year old mother. I tried Careway in Woburn first but they didn’t have what I needed in stock. They nicely referred me to Belmont Medical Supply. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when I read some of the 1 star reviews. I called first to make sure they had what I needed in stock before I made the drive over there. Both the man I spoke with on the phone and the one who helped me in the store were polite, courteous, and helpful. The store also appeared clean, well organized, and well stocked.

I purchased Sigvaris compression hosiery that did not stay in place on my legs and therefore did not work on the very first use. It was a complete waste of money. I called about it, but the response was unprofessional.

Years ago, I purchased products from this company for relatives and was pleased. I won’t go back after this latest experience.

For people feeling bad that they need medical equipment these men who work there are not friendly and arrogant. They act like we are bothering them. They never say hello. I have bought so much stuff over the years for family members and I wish there had been another place closer. Today I tried to return support stocking that had to be miss marked because they were way too small. I brought in a pair that I bought there which is exactly what the box says and you can definitely tell it’s not the right size. They wouldn’t return it cause I had put it on. $40 down the drain. He said they will stretch annd the ones I have are probably old and stretched out. I WILL NEVER GO IN THAT PLACE AGAIN!!!

In the past they’ve been very helpful with canes and the bottom of canes. Today I was going to buy two items that amount to over $125 but have to be measured exactly because they’re not returnable if they didn’t work. The man on the phone was extremely rude to someone he clearly knew was temporarily sick and I could hear him say nasty things to his colleague about me. I will not buy from them, and would rather just not get the items at all or go through Amazon. Rude is not acceptable when someone is sick.

We have been a customer for ten years. The team at Belmont Medical Supply has always been friendly, helpful and very reliable. The cost to purchase a new wheelchair might be slightly more expensive but they
are available for repairs on site which is absolutely more convenient then
working with an internet retailer.
