This place use to be a good clinic and never had any problems or anything but for some reason they are saying things are in my UA that clearly is impossible I even showed proof of the stuff that I'm prescribed that it can cause a false positive but NO these "smart" people don't want to be shown up specially by someone beneath them (that's how some of the people there treat you) I've had nothing but problem after problem starting in August 2024 NEVER IN 12 YEARS HAVE I EVER WENT THROUGH THE DISRESPECT THAT I HAVE ENDURED SINCE ITS CHANGED, The Pharmacist don't even get me started on her. Someone needs to inform her just bc someone shows you something that you obviously didn't know about doesn't mean their trying to show you up it's just trying to inform you in something you obviously had no clue about. The new lady that's head yeah she needs some better people skills, idk if it's bc we are going there bc we needed help getting off of PRESCRIBED MEDICATION FROM OUR DOCTOR that makes you think your better than all of us, but I hate to break it to you your not!, we're ALL HUMAN!!!!!

Transferred here from other BHG. I didn’t even know this clinic existed initially, or that there WAS another BHG. They are wonderful here. So compassionate and thorough. I am so excited to see how my treatment goes through this clinic, they even are coordinating my treatment w my other doctors and keeping them updated on my treatment plan.

All I can say is this clinic changed my life in so many ways.I moved to Alabama from Indiana and was promptly told I was on enough OxyContin to kill an elephant. No DOCTOR WOULD SEE ME UNTIL OFF OF THE OXYCONTIN. So I ended up here on Methadone,,, the most amazing thing happened after 20+ years on OxyContin for RSD…I was able to hold my 17year old sons hand for the 1st time PAIN FREE. I was so embarrassed to be there but the staff and other patients are the kindest people I have ever met. I highly recommend this place.

I recently moved to Ocean Springs, MS from Memphis. I had to transfer to a new clinic from Memphis. This so happened to be the clinic I transferred to and I am SO GRATEFUL that I did.

What sold me was when I was calling treatment centers, New Seasons in Biloxi seemed annoyed when I called to ask about what I needed to do to transfer. So I called this clinic to see if it would be a better fit, and less complicated and believe me it was!

The counselor Jami from the clinic immediately called me back the same day I called to ask about their services, she had me come in the same day, fill out the paperwork, and got my transfer paperwork from Memphis. The next day I was a permanent client and dosing with them.

That is what sold me! The counselors are wonderful. Jami got me into the clinic the same day that I called as a transfer. That is unheard of usually it takes a bit of time to transfer, but Jami doesn’t play. She gets the job done and recognizes how important this medication is for those who truly need it.

Phenomenal staff work here. From the counselors to the nurses and the doctor.

As a former nurse myself I will say this clinic has some of the kindest nurses I’ve ever met. One of the nurses came up to me my first day and welcomed me to the clinic.

It’s a small clinic so it feels more family like. The staff is always willing to help and they will go far to do so.

My only complaint is that they aren’t sure if I can do split dosing. I metabolize opiates at a rapid and fast rate, this was confirmed by a blood draw to see what my blood level of methadone is after 24 hours and before I dose for the next day.

The optimum level is in the 400s mine was at 100, which is extremely low. So in TN I was given split doses 60 MG face dose and 60 mg take home. This allowed me to live a normal life without unpleasant withdrawls.

But even with that draw back I am very grateful for this clinic. The other set back is they don’t take insurance. There is a grant which I’m currently trying to get on so that is very helpful but if you don’t qualify it can get pricy.

It cost 15 a day and they only do the orange wafers. Which is great if you like the pill form better as I do. It’s also cheaper from New Seasons. The methadone wafers at that clinic are $22.00. That 7 dollar difference doesn’t seem like much but believe me it really is. It’s a 49 dollar difference weekly.

Methadone saved my life. I was total abstinence from all drugs including methadone for four months when I got off of opiates. Unfortunately, I experienced severe post acute withdrawl and wasn’t able to live a normal life as others do who never used opiates.

I attended meetings NA/HA and AA. Which I believe are VITAL to recovery. But doing so alone without methadone was too difficult for me. The damage done to my brain was long lasting and became obvious when I still couldn’t function as I did before I used opiates

I dealt with severe panic attacks, and being unable to experience pleasure in anything. For example, a beautiful sunrise usually makes me smile and makes my soul feel warm, but I couldn’t experience that “feeling” anymore because of the damage opiates had done on my brain.

So after four months I had to get on methadone in order to be able to experience pleasure in everyday activities as other people do. Antidepressants wouldn’t work, because that isn’t the chemical my brain was lacking from the damage done by opiates. So methadone for me is a life saving medication. As it is for so many others.

I continue to do meetings, intensive outpatient, go to conventions, and see a therapist for my recovery. Alongside with methadone.

I’m a firm believer in this medication that with it and the psychological part of recovery (meetings, therapy, etc) that a happy life is once again possible with the freedom from addiction.

Unfortunately, this is no longer Gulf Coast Treatment Center. When it was GCTC is was great, but as of the new year, 2020, ownership changed and 2.5 months later, there is barely any staff left. I seriously don't know how they will continue to operate much longer which sucks because if they close, the closest methadone clinic is 3x as far.
The few employees that are left are great. But it has drastically changed since being bought from previous owner.

Wednesday, January 17th, 2018. The clinic was CLOSED! Apparently the protocol that is to be used when the clinic can't dispense, DIDN"T work today! I think its time the clinic reevaluate its procedures--to put it mildly?
