I can’t say enough good things about Black Diamond K9. From the very beginning, Joe made me feel so welcomed and never once made me feel judged for being a new dog owner with zero training experience. Oakley is a rescue, and when we started this journey, I felt totally lost and defeated. Joe gave me the tools, encouragement, and support I needed to not only tremendously help Oakley but to build my own confidence too.

Once we enrolled Oakley in the day training program, everything started to click. His progress took off, and it was clear how much time, love, and care both Joe and Lindsey put into working with him. They treated Oakley like he was their own, and every day he came home tired, happy, and fulfilled. It made my dog mom heart so happy to see!

The second part of the program—hiking with Lindsey through SoulMutt—was honestly amazing. I’ve never seen Oakley so excited to go anywhere. It became the highlight of his week, and mine too.

On our final day, both Joe and Lindsey went above and beyond to make sure I felt confident and had all the knowledge for using the e-collar out in the real world. Their patience and knowledge made such a difference. Oakley is a completely different dog now (in the best way!), and we are already enjoying the benefits of off-leash life.

We couldn’t be more grateful for Joe & Lindsey at Black Diamond K9 for the incredible work they did with our dog, Kona!! After meeting with Joe, we knew that he would be the best trainer for Kona. He took the time to listen to all of our concerns and helped us understand our dog in a way we didn’t think we could. Lindsey took Kona on pack hikes and we’ve seen a huge difference in her social skills. She also sent updates and pictures after every hike so I knew Kona was in good hands. Kona’s personality hasn’t changed, but now she’s reliable, listens better and we see how much more confident she feels socializing with other dogs and when we’re out exploring. At our final training session they taught us how to use the E-Collar and gave us the tools we needed to be successful and upkeep Kona’s training which was super helpful. Even though our training program is over, we still feel supported by Joe & Lindsey and know we can reach out at anytime. If you’re thinking about off-leash training, Black Diamond K9 is the place to go to!

We took our puppy Boone to Black Diamond K9 for puppy school and had such a great experience! The trainers were knowledgeable, patient, and really helped Boone make huge progress. Joe and Lindsey are just incredible and excellent at what they do, providing thoughtful, personalized training. We’ve taken all three of our beagles through their puppy classes and off-leash training, and the benefits that has provided for us and for our pups have been fantastic.

The puppy classes gave us such a good foundation. It wasn’t just training for the dogs, it was training for us too, and we came away feeling much more confident and understanding each dog better.

Off-leash training was a total game changer. Our girls have learned impulse control, how to check in with us regularly, and to listen even when there are distractions involved—which is saying a lot for a pack of beagles. It's made daily walks and trail adventures so much more enjoyable, as well as day-to-day life (good recall and responding to verbal cues!) And the pups love it, too!

Lindsey and Joe were excellent with my dog - I felt like they really knew him by the end of two week training and his recall was excellent, so enjoyable to have a dog you can take off leash and have tools to work through behavioral issues! Love that there is free follow up after the training.

Our Aussie participated in e-collar training with Joe and Lindsey. The entire experience was awesome and we are very pleased with our dogs progress. We participated in the six-week group leash walking class with our 18-month-old lab, Frankie, an extreme puller who we couldn't walk enjoyably on leash. Throughout the six weeks, we learned the best tools and skills to walk Frankie around our neighborhood and beyond with ease, as well as door manners and the art of doing nothing in public. Joe's philosophy is easy to grasp, and luckily, Frankie responded well to the training. We are so grateful to Joe and Lindsey for helping us enjoy walks with Frankie again!
