While bmc has improved greatly they stilll have to work on a few things . Pediatrics is great all the staff is great when dealing with kids. Adults, however they are not great. I got my wisdom teeth removed (oral surgery) through Boston University, which is a program out of Boston medical Center, and I had the worst experience of my life. The experience was terrible, but the aftercare was worse. They didn’t give me any medication, not even ibuprofen at first to deal with the pain. It was my first time getting it done and I was in pain for 10 days. I had to call three times to get someone to take me serious and ask if I wanted to make an appointment to follow up. It started bleeding on the ninth day one doctor said that’s concerning. The other doctor said that can be normal.(2 different doctors called me). The whole thing was just ridiculous and never once in my life have I felt like I was not being taken serious or medical needs. They really have to start Working on oral surgery and their dentistry. I will never go through them again to get the rest of my wisdom teeth out

OBGYN on the 5th floor is very amazing and kind staff , this hospital is very good to everyone specially homless people like project respect , they are helping me with everything and I’m blessed

My father in law has been admitted to the hospital and it has been over 6 hours now and he still has no bed. We are still sitting in the hallway of the ED in wait.

I hope no one ever has to go through what we did in the endoscopy/gastroenterology dept. The doctors were fine, but the two of the aftercare/recovery nurses were AWFUL. Our primary female nurse lied to us multiple times, refused to let my wife come back to her senses before making her leave the recovery bed(my wife could not walk at this point). We requested a wheelchair before the procedure even started. They then told us they couldn’t get a wheelchair for her when she got out of her procedure, and told us we should have brought our own. She insisted that my wife sign paperwork without reading it, and even removed the signature page from the rest of the paperwork. They sent us home without a special medical device she was given then they accused us of losing the device. After looking for almost an hour they found it “in a cabinet” because someone picked it up and moved it without our knowledge. We never got any apologies, and both of them were rude to us even after their mistakes were called out.

We have been going here for three years on a monthly basis to many different departments. I am absolutely disgusted by the way my wife was treated.

There are many great doctors and nurses at this hospital, but this type of attitude and treatment should never be accepted.

I sincerely hope things change, patient advocate services was notified.

I’m a patient in the hospital I got into a car accident it takes all day for the ortho department to come see me I’ve been patiently waiting since the 21 days I’ve been in the hospital but it seems to only get worse I’ve had to act out of character just to get seen and when seen they dodge from me either come @4 am when I’m drugged on meds or they come hours later this hospital is horrible I would say some of the nurses care about the patients but the ortho department has people waiting for hours to find out what’s the pain without an explanation or say it’s due to inflammatory they don’t accommodate plus size people at all it’s currently 24 hrs later and I’m still waiting for ortho to come I can’t sleep throughout the night my pain wakes me up every hour finally also my getting discharged I understand that because doesn’t have plus size braces so I’m currently using a brace that’s not the right size and they refuse to fix the problem if you come here for Surgery make sure u transfer right after first time here worst experience ever 😡😡😡

I have been coming to
this place for years... Doctors are great but some of the nurses, are rude and racist. Just yesterday at the emergency room. I asked the nurse why I had to wait so long when I just had a head injury and I have tumor. She told me that she didn't have time to look up my medical history that I had to let her know, when I actually did tell her in the beginning that I come to this hospital and my doctor is here. And she started yelling and telling me that if I wanted to leave just leave... I came to you with severe pain and this is how you treat people? I wasn't even surprised because most staff at that hospital are rude, and racist...

I'm only giving 5 stars because I do like the doctors there!
