Bristol Bay in Alaska is a truly wild and awe-inspiring place. But amidst the beauty, I couldn't shake off a sense of unease. Everywhere I looked, I saw bears. Brown bears, to be precise, and they were everywhere. Fishing.
I watched in amazement as these powerful creatures, seemingly oblivious to our presence, waded into the rivers, their massive paws scooping up salmon with effortless grace. Some were solitary hunters, others were in small groups, seemingly unconcerned by the presence of other bears.
