When my mom moved into Brookdale Chatsworth, I wrote a glowing review. Unfortunately, since last year, the community has gone downhill. Without going into horrific details, I will just say that I hope attention is truly paid to this location. There are wonderful residents and employees, although the building maintenance and food are both unacceptable. I’m hopeful the situation will improve for everyone.

How lucky my family and I were to have found Brookdale in Chatsworth for our mom. She has lived there for several years, has made so many wonderful friends, and absolutely loves it! The staff is amazing! They are caring, attentive, while creating a fun and festive atmosphere with daily activities, outings, and parties. Mom was recently in a digital bowling tournament between the staff and the guests, and Mom’s team won. Not bad for a 100 year old! Yes, mom just turned 100 and the staff gave her a surprise party with a cake twice her size! Thank you, Brookdale! You are truly a very special place.

I recently had the pleasure of touring Brookdale Chatsworth, as my father will soon be in need of assisted living. The experience left me with a heartwarming impression. My mother was in an assisted living facility (non-Brookdale) so I am familiar with the different types of communities out there.

The staff at Brookdale Chatsworth truly sets it apart. The personnel is not only professional but also very kind and compassionate. Their dedication to the well-being of residents is shown by the way they interact with each individual. Residents are treated with the respect, and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure they feel valued and cared for.

The facility maintains cleanliness throughout. The common areas, living spaces, and dining room was consistently spotless. This attention reflects the staff's commitment to providing a safe and hygienic living space.

One of the standout features of Brookdale Chatsworth is its bright and welcoming atmosphere. The facility maximizes natural light, creating a cheerful and uplifting environment. All the resident rooms I toured were exceptionally large compared to other communities.

I observed the residents enjoying many different activities tailored to their interests. Not only do they have in-house events, there are many outings that residents can participate which I am sure, makes for great memories, socialization and connections.

It's evident that the combination of a positive environment, caring staff, and enriching activities contributes to the well-being and happiness of residents. I know my dad will find his home here soon!

My 95 year old father was at Brookdale for 5 months before he passed away. He was also there 10 years ago for a short time recovering from bypass surgery. He had a wonderful experience.
My father always tried to attend all the activities, bingo, exercise class, arts & crafts, as well as happy hour & the ice cream social.
Marla, who helps lead the activities, always made my dad smile.
He would light up when she came to say hi to him. Everyone treated my dad like family. He enjoyed the staff who took excellent care of him. It gave me peace of mind that he was well taken care of. Communication was excellent, starting with the front desk, with Rose, April & Brenda. They always had time to chat with him & greeted me by name with a smile. When I needed something, I could call them & they would try to help. The caregivers, Raymond, as well as the med techs, Kris & Erlinda, as well as others were kind & communicated issues about my dad & tried to solve them with me or with the head coordinator, Cheriz.
Whenever I had concerns Cheriz would always listen & take action. Nathan, Director of dining services, would always work to help me coordinate my dad's special diet. He would always come out of the kitchen to talk with me or check on my dad to make sure he got the correct meal. Helen, the director, was also very kind & supportive. When an issue would arise she would be willing to talk about it & solve it. I wish my dad would have been at Brookdale longer. I will always have a warm place in my heart for Brookdale & its wonderful staff.

The current Executive Director, Helen Lee, is doing an excellent job. She has made many improvements. My 90-year-old mother, Luong Tri, has been a resident of Brookdale Chatsworth since fall 2018 and is so appreciative of Helen’s dedication and hard work towards improving and maintaining the quality of life of those living there. The staff is extremely nice and helpful and the overall service is attentive and very good. The dining room food has a new chef and the food is wholesome and delicious. My mom is so happy being a resident there. There are other nice residents and she's made many friends. We are so happy to have found Brookdale Chatsworth.

I am a current resident at this community. I enjoy sharing memories with my fellow residents. The staff is caring and makes sure we are comfortable in our studios. Chef Nathan and his dining staff makes sure that we enjoy our dining experience. Our maintenance staff takes care of our needs. Our wellness staff is always eager to answer questions and help. My most enjoyable part of being at Brookdale is sharing Sonny'O, my 3 year old fashionable Chihuahua companion, with everyone. Like me, he is also an Ambassador here at Brookdale 😉

This was my first experience working with an assisted living facility and I am very pleased with the professionalism and care that the staff has provided. Especially Tristian, he has made himself available to me and my Grandmother long after we signed the dotted line. His attentiveness and empathy is a clear representation of Brookdale's philosophy. The facility in of itself is great as well. Plenty of space and activities are available. My Grandmother's only complaint is that there's too much food!

although they’ve had three administrators since i moved here at this facility in Chatsworth, California, Helen is by far the best of them all . It is very important that the facility be run properly and that’s the job of the administrator. The people that I associate with are all top notch and the people that work here are all very good also. The food is average food for the type of institution as the kitchen is very cooperative to my special requirements and suggestions. At the present time the facility is being upgraded to new carpeting and new roof I am very happy here and I expect to spend the rest of my days here I have Parkinson’s, and the place is very easy for Parkinson’s people to get around.
