My mother’s been there in the memory care unit for about a year now lately within month the staff must’ve hired a young lady by the name of Marina Ritacco She is the memory care unit supervisor from what I understand. I just want to reach out to the staff executive Director. I must say you hired a real good one. Marina is unbelievable very punctual with her face time calls with me and my mother. She is a great addition. She’s very caring, thoughtful and extremely nice. Anytime there’s a problem with my mother or in the room that my mother is in she takes care of her I have full confidence with her assisting my mother prior to the other visits when I’ve been there earlier, I wouldn’t even recommend this place but now that she’s there I possibly could recommend this place now. She’s a great asset to the company and hopefully the executive directors will take notice of this letter thank you.

My mother transitioned to assisted living in October 2023. She and I have been extremely pleased with her new living arrangement at the Brookdale senior residence community in Jensen Beach, Florida. The medical care is top notch, the staff is consistently warm and friendly, and the facility and amenities are excellent. Her 1-bedroom apartment is the perfect size for her with her own furnishings and decor. There are many opportunities to engage in activities and provide socialization for the residents. My mom feels very much at home at Brookdale with an extended "family" of caring staff and residents. I highly recommend Brookdale to anyone interested in assisted living.

My experience at Brookdale Jensen Beach has been very pleasant since my first day. Maybe a few glitches along the way, but nothing that wasn’t dealt with in a timely manner. For the most part my 2 years here have been very impressive.

I have always felt safe here and enjoy the great staff and their concern for everyone’s well being. Staff members speak and most know your name. This makes for a very comfortable and warm atmosphere.

I have been pleased with the activities, care and compassion she receives

The aides are cheerful and act like they like their job and the residents. It is not easy dealing with older residents who are set in their ways. They have more patience than I could ever have and have been trained to interact with the elderly.

There are many activities for the residents to participate. They have a great game and craft program. Some of the residents children come once a week to run additional Bingo and Rummicub games.
The residents enjoy interacting in this setting.

Recently my sister and I were invited to share a dinner with our mom and another resident and their family. This is a new program that was reinstated after COVID.
It was a nice dinner in a smaller dining room. It was nice interacting with another resident and their family in a quiet atmosphere and is available on Wednesdays by reservation.

When and if I will need to go into an assisted living facility I will certainly consider Brookdale Jensen Beach.

I would not recommend this facility. They are very good at marketing and putting on a show while you sign a very crafted contract. My sister was there for one night and when trying to get into the building, a spring loaded door pushed her back out, causing her to fall off her scooter. She was left outside for hours as no one was on staff. She finally had to call the police. To add insult to injury, the company made us pay thousands for her stay of one night, which she spent most of on the ground outside.

Do not send your loved ones here. My father passed away last month; he drowned in their pool and was found floating, unresponsive in the Jensen Beach, FL facility. Not a lifeguard or camera to be found. He died on THEIR watch. Do NOT count on them to care about your loved one beyond the money they make from them.

My Uncle is a resident of Brookdale Jensen Beach and has lived there for 2 years. I have nothing but positive words to say about his experience. He looks forward to each day with interest and enthusiasm. His dining options are varied and healthy, and mealtimes provide a welcome benefit of also being a beneficial social experience. Of course, the pandemic has curtailed and/or limited much of the personal interaction of residents and staff but Brookdale has always risen above the obstacles and remained a friendly and caring place.

There is never a shortage of intellectually-stimulating, fun-filled, and physical activity. My Uncle particularly looks forward to his swimming periods, as the pool and other facilities are always kept in very clean and tidy condition. The grounds and common areas are always well-groomed and welcoming, My Uncle is provided with several opportunities to be engaged in volunteer and service roles which provide him with a sense of purpose. The entire Brookdale experience is best seen in the friendly and caring faces of the staff and service team, and in my Uncle's positive attitude with living and thriving there.

Another update* now they have charged us an additional $250 late fee for days my uncle wasnt even living there. They are trying to make us pay for the whole month of February even though my uncle left on February 6th and we paid them till the 10th..... this place is a joke and should be shut down for health and safety, my uncle is slowly recovering from the neglect and disgust they had him in , along with the fact that while in assisted living all his credit cards and ss card were stolen and corporate reach out and did nothing but talk Update*** if there was a zero stars i would select zero...this place is now trying to make my uncle pay for days he was not in the facility. We moved him out 2/6 as a courtesy we actually paid for the remaining days of that week till 2/10. They are now telling us we still need to pay for the remaining days of the month of February even though he no longer lives there. We moved him out because they were killing him, and they want us to pay them. Corporate should be watching this branch of the company once residents go to memory care- they don't care!!!!!!!! This was the worst experience ever. We brought my uncle there so he could enjoy freedom of not having to take care of everyday home things and enjoy life. Within 6 months he went from doing everything on his own , to being lock in memory care on the 3 rd floor where they can not get out. Communication in this facility was horrible , between staff , and with us. Over drugged my uncle to make him sleep all day practically. Price keep going up , and up every month, 3rd floor smelled like urine everyweek we visited to take him out for fresh air. Moved him out today, to a new place , for a better life , before this place killed him.This was a man who went in being able to dress, shower , make his own meals, walk up and down stairs....in a year he cant walk 10 feet without being out of breathe , cant dress himself anymore , doesnt want to eat....stay away......
