A Life-Changing Experience at Cambridge Biotherapies ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My experience with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) at Cambridge Biotherapies (CB) has been the most transformative mental health journey I have ever undertaken. From the very first interaction, I was met with an extraordinary level of professionalism, warmth, and neurodivergent-friendly support that set CB apart from any other healthcare experience I’ve had. It has profoundly helped my SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder), PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) & even ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)!!

From the start, Sohaila provided the kindest, most efficient, and neurodivergent-friendly guidance, ensuring a smooth and welcoming introduction to the process. Olga’s impressive active listening skills allowed her to truly understand my needs and recommend the best treatment plan tailored to me.

The warmest welcome everyday and professionalism of Catherine, Chara and Adriana at the reception made every visit feel like a safe and supportive space, while the expert TMS technicians—Dana, Daniel, and Jason—demonstrated an exceptional level of knowledge and patience. They answered every question I had with clarity and expertise, which, as a Neurobiology instructor, deeply impressed me. Their depth of understanding and ability to explain complex concepts were remarkable—I have so much to learn from them!

If you are expecting to use insurance to cover treatment, look elsewhere for your own sanity. I have wasted over two months on insurance appeals simply because their Director of Operations does not know how to do their job. While insurance companies get a lot of hate, in this case, the Director of Operations appealed for treatment 4+ times without addressing the insurance provider's concerns (I met all clinical criteria but director did not demonstrate this). I am not joking. They kept sending my patient records & nothing more, even though my insurance provided details explanations for what clinical policies they needed documentation for. I had to manually intervene and submit an appeal myself only for it to turn out the Director had wasted my right to an appeal. I do not know how you get hired for a director position without the basic competence of filing insurance appeals. If I get approved and treatment goes well, I may slightly increase my rating, but I will never get back the time wasted due to the Director's failures. Their poor performance is unquestionable and warrants review.

Okay, I never write Google reviews, or any reviews, but Cambridge Biotherapies deserves one. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience there. They quite literally saved my life. The whole team goes above and beyond. Everyone in the facility is so wonderful - kind, warm, welcoming, educated, and highly competent. The nurses are very well-versed and always show up with a perfect balance of medical professionalism and holding safe, compassionate space. Every time I've asked the nurse for support during treatment, they have shown up for me exactly as I needed. The rooms are comfortable, the lighting is soothing, the chairs are perfect, and the provided tools - weighted blankets, eye masks, headphones, music - make for an even more effective treatment. As a person with severe medical trauma, I have felt so safe with the treatment methods. In addition to excellent mental health awareness, all staff members seem to specifically be very trauma-informed. I feel so comfortable sharing my needs and they meet them without fail. Set and setting are everything for a treatment such as this, and Cambridge Biotherapies cultivates those beautifully. I want to give an extra shout-out to Catherine here - she is probably the sweetest person I have ever met and her warmth and care immediately make me feel so safe when I walk in the door.

I am so grateful to this facility. I have my life back.

This was a very expensive treatment not covered in any way by insurance, and unfortunately it did not work. It was a significant time commitment driving into Boston every day for 2 weeks, 10 hours a day, paying for parking, and giving up two weeks of work. Frankly if we had known what the results were going to be, we would not have gone ahead with the treatment.
