DO NOT COME HERE especially if you are a woman. I came here feeling tachycardic and dizzy when I stood up because I have POTS. A nurse came to draw my blood and told me not to cry “over a man.” The only tests they did were for illegal drugs and pregnancy, without telling me. I waited over 5 hours to see a doctor, then wanted to leave because I had a migraine. The providers refused me any pain medication but also would not return my clothing so I couldn’t leave, forcing me to sit there in pain longer. My mom had to go back behind the main desk and grab my personal effects forcibly so that I couldn’t leave. Later I saw that some doctor I never spoke to wrote in my chart that I was there for “worsening depression.” Chart corrections would not fix this. Patient relations “investigated” and told me they thought I was lying and then hung up on me and stopped all communication. Shocking, sexist, illegal, unethical.

I went at 5am to be seen for pneumonia and COVID. There was no line, I saw the doctor as soon as I arrived, got X-rays and antibiotics. Total visit was only an hour long. Great experience, thank you!

Don't come to this ER. I sent my brother to this ER and we waited almost 1 hour to get a bed at ER. He was in intense pain and they didn't bother to give him any pain killers. After we got into the ER, a RN came to do some bloodwork but he did not give my brother any painkillers. Waited another hour and finally a doctor came, she was kind but I wish the doctor would come sooner. We have waited a total of 2 hours after we check-in at the reception. After all the exams, we were told my brother needs to be seen by a specialized physician. Riduculously, they did not have a specialist on duty on that day, so my brother had to be transfered to Beth Israel in Longwood. We were glad the treatment at Beth Israel was much better than at CHA. Please avoid CHA and go to other ERs.

Went to get my sister in law who suffers from a mental illness medication that she ran out of.they gave her 1 dose and a 30 day prescription that couldn't be filled because her blood work was not filed in the rem program. They said they don't have that program. Now we're back at another er going thru the same thing. Very unprofessional.

No one wants to have to go to the ER but sometimes it’s the only option. I went in for chest pain when my primary care doctor couldn’t see me. I was seen promptly and the staff were very thorough, capable and professional. . Great experience.

I am thankful for this local hospital. I visited the ER here for a wound on my hand and was seen quickly. PA Jillian Rosenfeld stitched me up quickly and painlessly. She had a great bedside manner despite a stressful work environment (A patient was misbehaving and making lots of noise in the ER).
